So you want all three of those sets for 10227 and Mr Gold, or any one of them ?

    Send me an offer

I left it open for interpretation so I could see what kind of offers I would get

Wow that seems a bit of a harsh response @jvdrummer182
Your original post isn't clear if you want all of them or just one for the Mr Gold. We can assume you want one for him but without asking who knows

I think it was a legitimate question - how do you know that @dougts doesn't just have one of the three sets you're after and is just checking what you want?

Edit - ok, the OP has edited his response to be less harsh but I'll let my comment stand.

so basically you want to see if someone will offer you what you asked for - which is 3 times the value of what you are offering, even including the B-Wing?

Thankfully, our userbase is pretty well informed and not easily conned. This is likely why you haven't made a trade yet

@dougts came off to me as if I was making a ridiculous offer to try to get the 3 retired modulars, especially with the bold text

@dougts came off to me as if I was making a ridiculous offer to try to get the 3 retired modulars, especially with the bold text

the more common reading of your OP was that you expected to get all 3, not some of them, which is ridiculous

Oh so now I'm conning people? How about someone send me a counter offer? What's your problem @dougts
  • JBricks27JBricks27 Member Posts: 678
I've made plenty of trades and sales with multiple users over multiple continents here. How dare you attack me
  • dougtsdougts Oregon, USAMember Posts: 4,129
I'm not saying you are conning people, but your purposely misleading OP, coupled with your original (now edited) response to my questions seems to imply that you are hoping someone makes you a silly offer.

If you're not interested in what I have available then mind your own business
  • indigoboxindigobox Member Posts: 470
I don't think the offer is all that ridiculous. The issue is would someone want Mr Gold for a retired Modular which are almost as rare as Mr Gold.

For my two cents @jvdrummer182 I'd sell on eBay Mr Gold then see if anyone is selling one of the Modulars you want . :)

I asked a legitimate question. Still waiting for an answer.

Someone pleas delete this thread so I can erase the filth that @dougts has spewed over my trade offer

agree, if he's asking for one of them. that is not remotely clear in his post or in his response to my asking, which is why I asked to begin with. It's a simple question really.

why is it so hard to answer a question about your offer? I'll ask a different way:

I have all 3 of those modulars in the condition you require: Which one do you want for Gold/10227 ?
  • JBricks27JBricks27 Member Posts: 678
Please send me a message if you're making an offer. The thread is for general questions
  • dougtsdougts Oregon, USAMember Posts: 4,129
    nevermind, this is maddening.

I'm sorry for trampling up your thread, I was only trying to help ascertain, for myself and other potential trade partners, what your expectations were, as they were entirely unclear (and still are).

I went overboard in my comments about "conning", and for that I apologize. Good luck

I obviously know I'm reaching but who knows, there might be someone out there who has the 3 modulars to spare and really wants a Mr Gold and doesn't want to spend time hunting for him

I think both sides make fair points in this little debate. I have traded with @jvdrummer182 before and had no problems whatsoever, so I think it is unfair to say that he has 'conned' anyone, which @dougts has admitted to, so fair play to him.

However, I do think your reaction to dougts' comment was a little rash as you did leave your 'wish list' at the top somewhat ambiguous and with a record as clean as that of @dougts I would be frustrated to get my first 'abuse' click over something so petty.

Nevertheless, the best of luck to you. I would back up @indigobox's advice. Why not list him on eBay and then use that money to buy a Modular Building? :)

I certainly didn't deserve an a abuse click for my original question, though I earned it with my overreactive follow on comment, so it all evens out.

How about a skydiver and a mechanic?

@CCC I think you should at least offer two of each. C'mon be reasonable.

At least it was entertaining for a bit. @CCC, you seem to get into these marketplace debates quite often :) I do think a marketplace thread should be free of clutter. So, it is probably a good idea for this thread to be deleted and everyone just shake hands and cool off.

    OP should be more clear
Posters should also try and be more clear

Everyone cool off, build some LEGO... and move on.

Mistakes happen, lets not make a bigger one by continuing to swap "abuse" tags.

Closed on request of OP, sorry to break up the fun but there is a raffle going on if you want some entertainment.
