how does one person's bid keep rising without some other bid interrupting it?

Once they get too heavy, of course, the cost of shipping is going to eat into any money the buyer would have been saving, but the modulars are good examples of models that many international buyers believe it's worth buying at higher than US MSRP and then paying $60+ to have shipped, because the total is still well less than what they could get it for elsewhere.
Anybody wants a Killer Croc?
Worse case, [email protected] and Walmart think you ordered them, so if they investigate you will be blamed until you can prove otherwise, at which point you have to return the "stolen" goods. Best case they black list your address and you can't order to your address again.
Getting 2, who knows maybe a mistake or the scammer thought it would be funny. Another thought, scammer thinks you will be less likley to chase it up as you get two items.
Best to contact, eBay, Paypal, [email protected] and Walmart and explain the situation. You should get a PayPal refund.

This wouldn't even display well, or am I missing the point?
However, encasing 4 figures that can be easily found in your average LEGO set is beyond pointless here. I'm not sure what his motivation was to do this, beyond attempting to get a few extra bucks from some crazy collector who wants nothing but mint AFA graded minifigures (which I'll never understand).

Its a Mr Gold auction, I started looking into this since the guy that's selling them is close to were I live.
The shady part is that this guy already listed the same Mr Gold earlier and it sold to a guy with 2 feedback. Well now its up for sale again, and someone with 2 feedback is still the highest bidder. I figured he could have relisted it since the bidder maybe didn't pay up, but the fact that the bidder (at least on my screen) appears to be the same guy from before, I suspect he is bidding on his own auction to up the price. The censored name ebay attributes to keep bidding history private shows up as the same "name" on both auctions, I'm not fully versed on how ebay works so I don't know if the bidder names will appear the same to other people who click the link or if it was a coincidence or what, but I just thought I'd point it out.

That looks exactly like what he is doing.. Having a friend shill bidding for him... He must have got burned the first time and then ate the 10% fees and re-listed it...
I suspect many people have been doing this recently to drive up the prices... It is a common (But illegal) Ebay selling tactic...
The price isn't bad but I have a feeling this is a brick linked 10179 and that the seller didn't want to splurge on the rigging, instead probably purchasing cheap black ones and chroming them.
I think more likely it is an original with the rigging sold off and black ones chromed (like you said), but whatever next, gas adjustable shocks and white wall tyres?
I would actually buy this if I were in the states and it stayed around $1k.
The fun is wearing off sourcing parts for mine on BL (especially as I have embarked on a Taj Mahal too .....)
