Still waiting for my PAB order for my un-haunting project. And for the replacement bricks for my T1. I hate waiting :-(
  • dejavudejavu Member Posts: 235
Finished sorting my bricks. I have mostly sets, mini-sets such as the Spring Scene, and minifigs. Don't have a lot of miscellaneous bricks yet, so they don't take up too much room so far, but I'm planning a trip to the LEGO store soon and will hit the PAB wall - just trying to decide what kinds of bricks to go for. Last time I managed a bunch of white fence pieces, computer screens (but not keyboards), a lot of tiles in different sizes and colors, and a variety of plates. This time, hoping to score bricks in 1x6, 1x8, 1x10, etc, plus looking at whatever bricks I don't currently have among my sets. I mostly like to do variations and enhancements on Creator and Modular sets.

Just built the #3826 I bought on e-bay. Spongebob looks fabulous, though his sticker smile has seen better days ...

Got a postcard in the mail, so i'm impatiently awaiting the grand opening of the lego store in stl.
It's may 10, 11, & 12. They are going to build an 8 ft model of the hulk. Kinda excited.
Of course i'm going with lots of cash! Lol.

LEGO status today - trying to convince the wife that I really need more LEGO!

Ordered even more parts for a large scale show project that's rapidly approaching the 4k brick mark. I'm having fun with it, but I'm going to need to seriously redo my sorting setup when it comes time to break this one down.

Also waiting for a Brickshelf folder to go public so I can see what I need to do to finish my part of a collaborative build for a LEGO store display. Not sure why my LUGmate didn't just email me the pictures directly.

FInally got started on un-haunting #10228. Frustratingly close with the green pieces, so need to put in a spares order. Got my count completely wrong for the windows, so the PAB order that arrived is not enough. Need to work out exactly what I've missed and put in another PAB order. Time to cash in some VIP points.

About to get paid for a design project with a ton of Walmart cards. Hoping they will do some crazy discounts again like last Fall soon...

Just spent the last 90 minutes dismantling the required parts from my son's #7498 Police Station to enable me to put the stickers on. How a 6 year old is supposed to mount 35 stickers, !35 STICKERS! square is a mystery to me.
  • Si_UKNZSi_UKNZ Member Posts: 4,179
I bought a second hand one of those and the stickers were EVERYWHERE!
  • SirKevbagsSirKevbags Member Posts: 4,027
I'll take full responsibility. I made him buy it ;-)
  • LegoboyLegoboy Member Posts: 8,827
Probably left for the 6 year old to do!! ;-)

10 points to whoever can name the Sunday afternoon film AND the set. :-)

#7498, before the stickers were applied.
  • LegoboyLegoboy Member Posts: 8,827
I don't know, you try and have a bit of fun on a slow Sunday afternoon and the person that supplies the set has to go and spoil it. Tut [shakes head] . Shameful.

I'll have a word with myself in the corner.

Can I guess since I didn't give him the set?

....#7437 (the box was damaged, just taking a gander with that one).

10 points please... or I'll just go ahead and trade them in for those fantastic looking socks :o)

    Free minibuild days are annoying

    4:30pm
Wife: Do you [kids] want to go to the LEGO store to build the Star Wars Droid?
    Kids: yes!

    4:45pm
Me: okay, put on your shoes; we're leaving
Kid: I don't want to go
Me: You sure? This is your last chance.
Kid: I don't want to go

    8:00pm (bedtime)
Kid: I want to go to the LEGO store and build the droid.

^ Bring some with you. I always have a canister of random LEGO with me - an assortment of wheels/bricks/plates and a minifig or two. I keep them all in a #31000 plastic box. It's good for the cravings - and keeps my sons happy, too.
  • dejavudejavu Member Posts: 235
MorkMan, I saw your response too late, I was already at my trip location, where, sad to say, it rained all weekend. Next time, I'll definitely use your tip.

Cannot wait to receive my swapped polys, and the minififures and sets bought, in the coming week. Oooh and the star wars keyrings off ebay, hopefully gonna be a lego-fun filled week. Bring it on :D

About to start building my largest City set ever...# 7208: Fire Station.
Picked it up for a bargain $395 MXN at my local Walmart (in the district of Mexico City I live in). Equivalent of $32 USD (including tax)! :-)

Feels like it was christmas today, lots of packages of Lego and minifigures arrived today, woo hoo!
  • carlqcarlq Member Posts: 792
Agreed, Beth - and thank you again! :-)

Bought and built #76009 Superman: Black Zero Escape and #76002 Superman Metropolis Showdown over the last couple of days - primarily for the minfigs, to be honest, but I must admit I've really enjoyed building the sets themselves. Lots of interesting technique and nice parts. I plan to splurge with my VIP points later this month and get #76003 Superman: Battle of Smallville - if the build is as fun as it looks, that's going to be an entertaining afternoon!

Currently sorting a £100 order from Lego Bricks & Pieces that arrived this morning (approx 800 bricks). A third of the pieces to build #10185 Green Grocer!

Received my LEGO Minifigures Character Encyclopedia book yesterday. My son just read the whole book - cover to cover (took him 2.5 hours). The Toy Soldier minifigre is my new favorite. Very nicely done. I'd love to have an army of these guys - but I have a feeling I'm going to need to buy a bunch of the books as there probably won't be many who buy the book and part with the minifig.

Was having a tough week and happy to see Friday. Came home to a big [email protected] box and knew it was my B-Wing & Han so even happier. Then where I would usually drop my keys I see something that makes me the happiest I can be. My gf loves of me and chose to show it in the form of Lego!
