Not really sure if I even want the Technic sets I bought on Saturday just can't pass things up. Plus I also seem to have more Technic sets with in one of the boxes. I have a set of the Technic guys and what seems to be a go kart.
6492-hypno cruiser
6175-crystal explorer sub
6155-deep sea predator
6056-dragon wagon!
Plus about two pounds of mixed/various Lego. All for FREE, right place, right time I guess.
Anyway I went to the Lego store in Manchester last weekend and bought the new TMNT, Chima and Ninjago keychains plus other bits, and got chatting to one of the store staff, who was interested in why I collected keychains etc, and I just happened to mention the Valentines day keychain and how I missed out.. and way me and the wife left and that was that.
Due to being let down in another shop quite badly we had to hang about in the Arndale and so the wife insisted I treat myself to something else.
On arriving at the store the young lady who served me ran over, told me not to move and returned some seconds later and was told close you eyes and hold out your hand..
I am now the proud owner of the Valentines day Red keychain .. seems she told the store manager and she had one in a box and thought it would be nice to give it away ..
To my mind that is a result ...
The story: Strolling the 2012 neighborhood garage sale, I would ask neighbors if they had any LEGO bricks for sale, even if none were visible. Good thing as one revealed a hidden trash bag of toys: LEGO, MegaBloks, KNex, Hot Wheels, Tinker Toys, army men, etc.
After purchase, sorting revealed 25 pounds of LEGO and 8 pounds of MegaBloks (all HALO sets). The majority of LEGO bricks were from Star Wars sets, some even released new that same year! Thirteen other themes were present including Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Prince of Persia.
The haul also included parts from at least 139 minifigures, with one catch: they were all completely disassembled: hands from arms, arms from torsos, and legs from hips. (Who does that?) It took hours of research to match all the faces with bodies. Finally, after several months of on-and-off effort to catalogue as I integrated all into the rest of my inventory, I can report the totals above. Phew!
6604. I'm happy.

Infiltrator. Oh and a Henry Jones Sr. keychain. Still have quite a bit to sort, plus they all gotta go through dishwasher before I can really see how much I have of each. Like Christmas for me lol
The cheapest incomplete set on Bricklink is roughly £84 from the US and that is for the Cinema only, the only one available from the UK is used & complete and the asking price is £230. Ebay prices seem to be anything between £100-£200+
I paid the grand sum of..... £40.00
Also bought 7 X series 10 mini-figs from WH Smith today as well, just grabbed them with no bag fondling or squeezing and luckily all 7 were different.............. Which was nice.
Some #10184 pics.....
Also a while back had Jabba's Palace for £60 from JL which seemed a steal really and last November had a shirtless Darth Maul in sealed Polybag with a Urak-Hai Sealed Polybag for £5.19 and free delivery. Was so worth getting up at 3am to bid on that!
The other day, I walked into the only LEGO store in my city to show my wife a couple of sets and noticed that they sell the modulars for the equivalent of $400 to $500. Way too expensive for the current sets, but they also had a couple of Green Grocers, and they were the cheapest of all the modulars (probably because they were imported a long time ago)!
I had a hard time convincing the wife to let me pay that much for a set, but at half the going price in the US, it felt like a great find! I even went through all of the shelves to see if they had a CC hidden somewhere, but I guess that's too much to wish for.
Missing a few pieces here and there, but pretty much all the minifigs here, Powerfunctions complete for both trains (missing 1 remote) and came with lots of track. Manuals for Police station, Bank transfer & Lego truck.
But we also get a lot of d-bags that also over hype up sets they got on clearance right away, quoting inflated TRU prices as reg retails and people fall for them. I'm sure there are some b-wings up for $250 already.
Ditto!
All clean now.

Had an incredible couple of finds in the past fortnight or so. A couple of weeks ago, I found 2 complete boxes of Series 1 minifigures for sale in a branch of WHSmiths! Not just for sale, on sale too! 50p a packet! I had palpitations for hours afterwards! ;o)
Oh, and then yesterday I found a little figure called Mr Gold too!
Am rather pleased, oddly enough!
