Good price on TRU Exclusives

ecmo47ecmo47 Member Posts: 2,101
I got the TRU ad flyer in the Sunday paper this morning that contained a coupon for 30% off the price on the following Exclusive TRU sets:

- 9526 (Palpatine's Arrest). Sale price is $76.99 (Lego MSRP is 89.99)
- 79004 Hobbit (Barrel Escape) sale price is $31.49 (Lego MSRP is 39.99)
- 9495 (Y-wing). Sale price is $45.49 (Lego MSRP is 49.99)

The fine print says "one coupon per guest" but it doesn't limit the number of sets you can get. Valid 3-17 to 3-23. Time to grab 9526!

Knowing TRU all of those sets will be out of stock...

^^That works out to almost 15% off RRP. Decent sale for that set. But May 4th might get you a better deal if you can wait.

^ Not counting VIP points, I doubt that Lego would offer a better % on the 4 May promo. Typically the saving have been around 10% with one or two sets at 20%.

Even if its the minimal 10% off, adding the VIP points match the current TRU offer. But more importantly is buying a single copy of PA during then should qualify for whatever free promo fig it will be this year, which has a value over $20 all of itself.

Ill wait and roll the dice that these are eventually put on clearance at LEGO, or for TRU to pull their head out of their backside and put stuff at the LEGO
    RRP during sales.

Wasn't PA at something like $61 a couple weeks ago at TRU?

Yes, they were 62.50 (if you bought two) when they were on sale for like $70 something with a buy one/get one.
