^I think that set is pretty neat. I bought 2 of them. What are the differences between the CMF Series 1 Zombie and the Series 2 Witch?

near-impossible to tell in those photos, but the only difference between the witches is that one has black hands and the other has gray hands

The belt buckles are a different color and the eyebrows are different. I don't see gray hands.

http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=850487-1 look at a picture of the actual set; this is a more accurate image

look at a real picture of the CMF witch, too--the promotional photo is misleading

There's not an actual difference in the belts, and the heads are the same in reality... maybe the slightest bit of difference in eyebrow thickness, but I believe it's just the promotional photos (this time of the accessory set) being misleading

http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=6941 Actually, according to this review/photos, the witches are identical after all.

I really need to jump on that ghost train.

    Vampyre Castle as well eventually.

We had lots if fun setting up our haunted house display during Halloween. Built a sidewalk for trick or treaters and attach a zombie geaveyard to the side of the house.

This year we'll have the actual Ombie set to include in our graveyard.

Pictures of the witches side by side. CMF fig is on the right, 850487 on the left. The only thing I see is the belt buckle which is either gold or black respectively.

Hmm...just checked my two witches. Both have a gold buckle, but one is noticably brighter than the other (can't remember which witch is which now); everything else appears identical.

Ahhh, interesting, I did not look close enough at the pack vs series 2 fig.. subtle differences but their are differences.. watch out for people buying these packs and trying to sell the witch as a series 2 witch then.

Read the rest of the thread... I think the large side-by-side picture is just a misprint. My sealed 850487 witch has a gold belt buckle.

Read the rest of the thread... @fitzyfitz also checked and said that the gold buckles are of different brightness.

My S2 witches are indistinguishable from the Halloween set ones apart from the buckles. The gold printing of the buckle in S2 varies between a light gold and a heavy (and more even) gold print (I have 5 S2 witches). I have about 12 halloween pack witches, the print there is significantly more uniform, all a nice deep gold print.

I don't think you can say someone is passing off a halloween set wicth for an S2 one - simply because some of S2 ones do have a nice deep print for the buckle.

All my witches have the patches on their faces (as in the right minifig above) and do nto have the cleaner look (left one above).

They idea of the grey hands for the halloween set witch is because lego put the wrong image up, and have never corrected it.

It isn't the only time there have been badly printed buckles in CMF. The Royal Guard (S5) can be found with a very silver buckle, and also with virtually no silver there.

If it is the end of Monster Fighters, I'll be pretty disappointed. If it must go, it should go out with a bang: Monster Fighters VS Cthulhu. Make it happen LEGO!

I honestly hope MF stays around until November. It would be great if they keep the theme around for one more Halloween. They'd be sure to sell their remaining stock.
