@BrickDancer- Already done it. I sold off over 75% of my sets and have since gone entirely minifigure heavy.

We sound like two cranky old man, but the kool aid does indeed taste quite, quite... quite bitter today.

Excited - buying 2x #3315 tomorrow to add to the one I have so I can make it more modular. Add Chick Fil A for lunch and it doesn't get much better!

    You lucky so and so.

I myself might have actually managed a bargain worthy of the brag thread, but need to check it first.

Got my Bus, Police van and truck, bits missing, I've had to introduce my own parts to the bus, so I will be contacting the seller AND I will be buying from Bricklink from now on.

In other news DK said they sent my figures back, asking how much the book would be since I've forgotten what the price was, they said they would send me a copy :D HAPPY DAYS! Also looking forward to seeing the new Die Hard

With a UCS Snowspeeder en route, I will be completing the entire collection at long last. Just in time before the Matrix reboots with #10240. :)

Had a lazy couple of hours in bed this morning. Got up, got dressed and staggered downstairs. Wife had cleaned the downstairs top to bottom. "I'm done for," I thought to myself.

Crashed onto the sofa in front of Victorious the kids were watching. Looked over my shoulder to make sure the coast was clear before sneaking into the LEGO room. Reappeared 30 seconds later clutching my R2. "Sam, you want to help me with this?" Ten minutes was caught red handed by her holding a duster with one hand and the Hoover in the other. "Oh, that's a good idea. I was a bit worried about Sam not getting enough time with you."

    =-O

"I could make this a regular thing if you want Dear?"

Very pleased with my son this evening. He's only two years and 3 months old, and I opened a CMF for him, which he instantly recognised and said 'chicken man', giggled with excitement then built the whole thing on his own, which he then repeated with the fortune teller just to prove it wasn't a fluke. Wasn't expecting that!

Finally got round to opening the cinema and built the ground floor this evening. Left the mini-figs and the limo for my youngest to build when he gets back from school tomorrow.

Got a Target giftcard in the mail from a bank promo I had forgotten about that ran in December. Methinks it will turn into an Orc Forge fairly quickly.

27/13 The day the horrific crash happened, all the LEGO men on board lost their lives, the only survivor was a dog called Bob....

Did anyone get a email by DK asking us to ask questions to LEGO?

    My question was
Did you ever think of how successful Minifigures will be?

Been a month and still no sign of the LEGO customer service package. Seems like another case of 'mailman stealing LEGO packages'. :( Or it could of have been just lost in transit.

Found lots of nice polys at Walmart. Debating whether the bunny suit guy will be waging war with Gandalf or have a space adventure with Galaxy Squad walker.

Just picked up the 3 Iron Man 3 sets from Toys R Us. They were having a $20 off $75 of more promotion so the sets actually came in about .50 to $1 under msrp!

Also, picked up a Maersk Train with a 20% coupon. They jacked the price up to 129.99 but the coupon knocked it down to 103.99! Under MSRP! Jackpot!!!

No real LEGO today, but I did pick these up at Argos before they got ripped up and binned :)

My addiction is hitting a new level, about to start playing Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Lego + SW + Video Games makes for 3 passions combined in one. Is it possible to add a 4th dimension?

Picked up 2 copies of Girl Talk magazine in WHSmith on my way home, containing Friends Ice Cream Parlour polybags. Polys went into my stash, mags (& other free gifts) went to next door's granddaughters. Girls ecstatic; me too. Everybody wins.

.Just finished building #6754 Family home (I know, only a few years late, it's been in the build queue a while) and was very surprised to have 6 2x10 bricks left over. Fantastic build, and very big.
  • fitzyfitzfitzyfitz Member Posts: 94
^The spare parts will be for the alternate builds. Creator sets always try and use just the parts from the primary build for the alternates, but occasionally they need to use a couple of extras. #5770 Lighthouse Island had something like a 4x10 plate left over. The beauty of Creator sets...you don't have to tear a model apart just to rebuild the same one!

Annoyed! If you've listed a Lego Shazam figure on BrickLink for £100 you better actually have one when I try and buy it. Grrrr.

I remember picking that up just before #4645 and marveling at how a set from only 4 years previously which had a lower RRP could be almost twice the size...

    @AFFOL_Shellz_Bellz you still need that #6542 ;-)
  • Si_UKNZSi_UKNZ Member Posts: 4,179

Looking at buying some REAL bricks to build a wall and I was amazed to find they're 23p each, so that's cheaper than some Lego bricks then. wow.
