[US] Shopko clearance

I was in Shopko earlier today (Madison, WI), and they had a few sets on clearance for about 30% off. Of note were the Sith Fury Calls Interceptor, Ultra Sonic Raider, Quinjet Aerial Battle, and Republic Striker-class Starfighter. Not sure if it's YMMV or not, but if you have a Shopko in your area and want those it might be worth a look.

They also appear to be having a 10% off all LEGO sale, but I didn't buy anything so I don't know if it stacks.

It DOESN'T stack. It's either 30% off those selected items or 10% off all other LEGO items.

Too bad. That would have made me go back. The Sith Fury is tempting.

Even so, $55 is a fantastic price for that set.

Oh yeah, it's still very tempting. I might go back tomorrow and pick one up.

The Green Bay West ShopKo had 4 Furys left on an end cap. I didn't see a clearance tag on the Quinney, but with how torn up the aisle was, it may have been knocked down.

I grabbed an X-wing for $41 and almost had a $30 police heavy transport helicopter, but I let someone else take it while I was contemplating how I'd explain buying that much after just picking up all of the Galaxy Squad sets @ TRU earlier this evening ($25 off $100 sale ftw)

They had 5+ copies of each of the sets at the one I went to this morning. If I had the extra cash to stock up for possible resale, I probably would. At least on the Quinjet and maybe the Raider. Not so sure on the Sith Fury. It's a cool ship, but kind of targets a niche Star Wars audience.

Just saw a Shopko ad for the day after X-Mas (Dec 26 thru 29th) and it now says 40-60% of clearance toys. Which would/should mean the Ultra Sonic Raider, Sith Fury, Quintet and others that were 30% off before might be more now.

On Tuesday, I picked up 3x Sith Fury's for $39.99 apiece. Others that I remember:

9472-1: Attack On Weathertop - $41.99 apiece (40% off their price of $70)
    9498-1: Saesee Tiin’s Jedi Starfighter - $20.99 apiece (30% off)
    6869-1: Quinjet Aerial Battle - $41.99 apiece (40% off)
    9467-1: The Ghost Train - $47.99 apiece (40% off)

Yesterday was senior citizen's day (extra 15% off entire bill), so I had my dad pick up another bunch for me from the town my parents live in. He walked out with:

    2x 9467 Ghost Train
    2x 9492 Tie Fighter
    1x 7346 Seaside House
    1x 9449 Ultra Sonic Raider
    4x 9500 Sith Fury-class Interceptor
    1x 6865 Avenging Cycle

    Paid $367.70, including tax.

I really wasn't expecting anything at my local Shopko, but I went in today just out of curiosity. They must really want the Monster fighters out of there. The Vampyre Castle was $69.99 and the Crazy Scientist and His Monster was $29.99. I have a copy of both for myself, so I didn't get either, but I'm not sure I won't be back tomorrow. I don't have the income to mess with the reselling bit, but irregardless those prices are pretty darn good.

They Vampyre Castle was priced that way starting back in October, but they've all since disappeared around me. I live near four Shopko stores, and most of the good stuff has been cleared out already. Lots of the Frankenstein sets are left, which is interesting - it's a fun build and definitely worth the $30 they are selling it for now.

^Not everyone buys discounted Lego just to resale...
