I had some great luck at Wallyworld as well but one of them had the TRex copter for full price so I left those. Might go back.
Tons of polys for $1.50. The orange creator copter is a great parts pack for orange cheese slopes and others.
I left a ton. I don't have a budget in the $1000's to clear out the place. They also had some World Racers sets in dinged up boxes and a #4195 Queen Anne's Revenge that's box had been opened and then wrapped in packing tape in the Garden Center area. Those sets were only 30-40% off and with the condition of the boxes I couldn't bring myself to purchase them.
Oh, I didn't check the garden area. How much was QAR? I would have bought it if I have known it was there.
Luke's Landspeeder #8092: $12
SW battlepacks #7913 & #7914: $6
Recycling Truck #4206: $14.50
Star Wars polys #30053/#30056/#30059: $1.50
Ewok Attack #7956: $12
Series 8 Minifigs: $1
Space Moon Buggy #3365: $2
Fire ATV #4427: $2
Creative Building Kit #5749: $9.50
Kai's Blade Cycle #9441: $7
Jay's Storm Fighter #9442: $9.50
The things I liked finding the most were the storage solutions, which I desperately need:
Sort and Store #5001125: $17
Portable Storage #2856205: $7
Small minifigure clutch packs: $2.50
Disappointed that I could not find any of the larger Dino sets as I wanted to get a T-Rex for my collection. Also none of the Wal Marts had any Super Hero sets on sale except one had the Quinjet for $49. Also wanted to find a #7941 Sith Infiltrator and came up empty there too. However, all in all some great finds.
Star Wars Lego #7957 (Sith Nightspeeder): $12.00 (MSRP $24.99)
City Lego #4206 (Recycling Truck): $14.50 (MSRP $29.97)
City Lego #4431 (Ambulance): $9.50 (MSRP $19.97)
This store also had the Forest Police Station for $59.
all at my first stop. Then went to another and found the very last 7962-1: Anakin Skywalker and Sebulba's Podracers, seals damaged and box dinged for $69 on the tag. Scanned it and noted $34.99. Went to a register and was able to confirm full contents and negotiate an additional 10% off (manager who was asked agreed to 10% discount without knowing item was already 60% off). Total discount on Podracers 65%.
That's some good brick buyin'. Then went out for more later that night. Got
Star Wars Lego #7956 (Ewok Attack): $12.00 (MSRP $24.99)
And found $10 in the parking lot, so that set pretty much cost $2.
Ok so I need to understand this. You can load all the barcodes into your phone and then change locations and the prices will update? Then the hunt boils down to whether there's any left, right?
There's a store near me that I've been to that didn't have any 7964s. But last night the barcode scanned for $49.50 at that store. Does that mean they have one left for sure? It didn't scan at all for any other local stores.
I stopped by Target as well.
#4435 Car and Caravan: $13.98
#7942 Fire Pickup Truck: $7.98
#3665 Space Moon Buggy: $3.50
SW Planet Series 30% off
Anyone finding the Vampire Castle on sale?
;-)
Seriously, though, different things interest different people. For example, I actually passed on a $50 Dino HQ I found. Why?
- I have one.
- I did not need a bunch of yellow for excess Lego
- I don't want to resell
I did go for 50% off the Star Wars and City Advent Calendar. We will use those next December. I saw a few sets at 30% off that I went for as well. There were other sets I passed on.
They did not even have the cheap holiday theme M&Ms anymore (they were replaced by Valentine theme M&Ms)
Dino sets are going to do well. First time we have had Lego counterparts of the JP dinosaurs.
I'm too lazy. :(
I'm going to Seattle tomorrow and would like to have a list handy and know what to look for in the LEGO/Clearance isle.
Thanks! :-)
Off topic: By the way, do any stores like Target and WM still have the holiday white chocolate covered Oreos left? I've been dying to try those out cause they look delicious. Shame that they don't have it in Canada...
