Redbullgivesyouwind: When your MOCs start to occupy the area your bed should be in then you might have a problem! I do worry where I might put my subsequent purchases, but I know the missus definitely won't allow the Lego to spread beyond the one room.

I took 10178 to bits and built again as there was something wrong with the gearing assembly. It's walking like new now.

Ha ha it hasnt gotten that bad. At the moment its only 86x45x30 cm so it hasnt taken over my entire bed. Yeah there is no way that I could start putting anything beyond my bedroom. Mum would kill me.

Did it have a limp? I think it always looks a bit ungainly when it walks. Like its in danger of falling over.

Imperial Shuttle, Death Star, B-Wing, and Town Hall. NO idea where to start.

The kids (and me) got the Death Star. Took most of Christmas Day and finished it off today. It is fantastic and the kids haven't stopped playing with it, but I might get a chance when they go to bed!

Yes it had quite a limp, it has less of one now, but I think the ungainly walking style is quite authentic, the "real" AT-AT looked very clumsy when it walked on Hoth.

@Monkeyhanger that's true the stop motion in the film is very good. But it doesn't sway side to side. The scene where it does tilt is it preparing to turn a corner. Its still a smoother ride than the lego one. The poor stormies will be thrown all over the place.

@Thornie build all of them at once :-D

Maybe it had some broken speeder cockpit glass in its foot.

Got the Ninjago Character encyclopedia. Wonderfully detailed pictures, and it also has some tidbits of information that I surprisingly did not know of. It was also in the presence of a Sonic Comic Encyclopedia and a black Wii U. It was however the first to be "opened."

My younger sister also got two Friends sets, the largest being Olivia's House, which I had the honor to build, being as it is the most complete Lego House I've ever built (or seen for that matter).

Welp, today I purchased my first Lego sets since approximately 1988. Returned a Lego gift and parlayed that into Tower Bridge (10214) and the Shuttle Expedition (10213). Did not get a deal either way but I'm excited to give this Lego thing a go for the first time in 20+ years!

I received #10937, #79004, #10229, #75002, #75000, #75001 for Christmas as well as a £50 Lego gift card and with a Lego store nearby, I am sure I will get down there on Sunday. Also, it is my birthday tomorrow so fingers crossed I will be adding to my 'to build' list. I have only got Arkham and the Winter Village Cottage done so far!

@Redbullgivesuwind My local Toymaster is stocking them. The exclusives are of course not available there, but I imagine everything will be out at Lego shops certainly by the 1st of January (that is what I was quoted on about the 22nd of December at the Brighton store), so not long to wait now. It seems like quite a good selection if you ask me, but I am an advocate of the Clone Wars so those sets appeal to me as much as the others in general.

    Under the tree:
Batman vs Mr Freeze Aquaman on Ice
    Jabba's Palace
    LEGO Batman Visual Dictionary
    LEGO Star Wars III Game
    LEGO LotR Game

Then went out and bought Arkham with my Christmas money.

I didn't get any sets, but my family did get me a classic space t-shirt from CafePress. Thanks to whoever posted a link to that (in some other thread I can't find now).

Pretty much indefensible. We got the head-ups that the Megab***s was a-coming, I said to my (usually) much better half, "Can you change their minds? They're your parents and they're on a pension." Something got lost in the translation.

The little guy is still in his diapers, no lasting scars will come out of this.

I used a money gift to buy myself MMV (finally, hooray!). My girlfriend got me something on Bricklink, but it didn't arrive on time for Christmas so I still don't know what it is, beyond the fact that it is retired. She's awesome though, when it became apparent that it wouldn't be here for Christmas she went out and bought 79003 An Unexpected Gathering.

So it all worked out well really, an extra set and the fact that the present giving isn't over yet :)

Most of them were smaller vehicle sets. My younger one likes the vehicles (hence something like Fun With Vehicles, 4635), older one likes the playsets.

Strange thing is after they destroyed the trains, the ones most played with were, well, anything fireman or policeman related. They cared nothing for the Dino Defense, which I thought would have been a hit, or the Space Centre.
