    I've been seeing the same sales as everyone else. It's either hit or miss depending upon the Walmart wanting to clearance. I did notice tonight at my local Walmart there were carts full of toys in aisles and noticed some LEGO in it. It was pre-Christmas stuff I guess returning to the shelves. I ended up with some Friends sets and Annikan Podracer ($26). And then again, when we were checking out, the kids used the restroom, so I was left standing there by the customer service and there was a SW Republic Frigate there for $49. So, there might be more LEGO put back on shelves in the next few days.

    Im in the western burbs of Chicago but I believe that there at least 3-4 AFOLs patrol the area (other than myself) and I'm guessing that a few of them apparently have nothing better to do than to hit Walmarts and other stores early in the morning. I on the other hand have a job.
    Plus when you have newspapers putting stories out there that anyone can make money with LEGO you are going to see more people thinking they will make their fortune on LEGO competing as well

    In other news, what other LEGO deals did people find? I went to two WM and only 2 sets were discounted, and of course completely sold out!

    The Walmart closest to me had totally full shelves...i was shocked....but the sets that were on sale varied from what other people have said....None of the Monster fighter sets or Hobbit sets were on sale and neither were any of the bigger Star Wars sets. I get off work at 4 am and have two 24hr walmarts by me....One I checked and the other I havent so I will be there as soon as I get off.

    I got sick and had to call in, just woke up after sleeping all day. I would of stopped by Walmart after work. Don't think I wanna risk it in the 0 degree weather just to see if I can buy Luke's Landspeeder for $12.

    I went to a couple of Walmarts and when I scanned the new Hobbit sets, it always returned "Ask for assistant". I was in a hurry both times so I did not check further. Did anyone else notice this ?

    In The haymarket store I got the same thing. I did not investigate.

    Ok....I got off work and figured I would make one last Walmart trip to the 24hour walmart by my work...It was well worth it...I bought two Republic Frigates for $49 each and some other smaller sets like Recycle truck and Ambulance. I did find some Ninjago stuff but I really know nothing about those sets. I did end up picking up two Destiny's Bounty #9446 for $34 each. I'm not sure if thats good or not but I figured I would take a shot.

    Man, wish I had found a Destiny's Bounty for half off but they were gone overnight around here. The son had been wanting it for a long time so out of fear I ordered it for retail from Amazon UK before the holidays.

    I noticed and investigated. I found #79000 and #79001 had red clearance price tags on the shelves but gave that notice at the scanner. When checking out the cashier said they were regular MSRP.

    I called my buddy after I was done and he said the aisles were bare to begin with. Last I went out there a week ago, it was more than 80% empty from Christmas shopping. He said they only had the SW Calendar for $25 and TONS of the SW polys for $1.50. Worthless to me. Everything I knew would be going clearance sold out way before Christmas.

    I got a couple of Weathertop's for $40, a recycling truck at 50% off, and a bunch of SW battle packs for $6.

    Decided to check out K-Mart after hitting a bunch of WM's yesterday. They had most of the new 2013 sets out (no Chima) but did see the Hobbit sets #79010 for $75 and #79003 for $54. Looked like a nationwide sale too, the stickers mentioned the sale good through 12/29.

    The only thing suggesting there was ever a Pet Shop there was the clearance tag. That WM has never carried an exclusive like that. My guess is that someone had ordered one online and returned it to the store. Would have been great to have arrived when they put it on the shelf though!

    ^ Someone told me his Walmart shopping strategy was based on buying the online items that were either refused or never picked up at steep discounts. Apparently he got amazing deals from time to time but the selection was pretty slim. It helped that he lived within 5 minutes of a Walmart he visited very regularly.

    Lucky bugger! I'm trying to get a hold of one for less than £250, but so far amazon.fr aren't obliging by repeating their €290 pricing I missed out on while I was in Bruges.

    funny I walked into my walmart and saw the Town Hall. My eyes almost popped out of my head because I love that set and figured it had to be on sale. Wrong it scanned at 199 which is more then Walmart online. I had to be happy with my HP (The Burrows) at $45

    All these fantastic deals at WM are making me hate my local WM more and more for not posting more clearance deals..... ugh.. Congrats to everyone though! Seems like a very successful Boxing Day for most people on here!

    I hit 3 walmarts and 2 targets yesterday they were amazingly barren and picked over even before the crowds hit late in the day. I did pick up a few sets crainbo listed above at half off at WM. A couple SW and a Mine truck. Nothing was marked at walmart, so my daughter thought it was fun to take things back and forth and scan them till we found ones on sale. Target had nothing better than 30% off. Oh well good for me as I have a about 10-15 sets sitting in closet that the wife said the kids don't need. My lego addiction has resurfaced since my two kids are old enough to play with them now.

    On a good note my WM had cleared out the friends sets cheap in late fall. They had brought in one 20 set and then added the cheap girls megablock sets. Happy to say on the back wall I found 3 or 4 new 2013 Friends sets had been added. Not in the girls isle but the isle where they have lots of items marked by price $5 $8 $10 or so on.

    Should I make a stink about the Dino HQ that I picked up at full price? I am thinking of returning it as I hate paying full price when nearly everyone on here paid half that? Should I try to return it and bring this up to the customer service?

    smellyworm- sometimes if you can get a receipt from someone else showing the price they got they will price match. Did you buy it yesterday for full price or before christmas? I know I bought some stuff for my son for his B-day in January and its on sale half off now. So the long way around is buy a second one and return it on the full price receipt from 2 weeks ago to get my 50% back.

    For those shopping at walmarts with iPhones, it's definitely worth while to download the Walmart app -- allows you to scan prices using your phones camera. No more having to wait in line at those price scanners (and their obnoxiously loud beeping)!

    As long as you allow it to use your location, it knows what store you are in and adjusts it. I've tested it many many times and haven't noticed a single discrepancy (except for the occasional problem in reading the bar code)

    I actually just bought it yesterday. Not sure why it keeps showing up full price at my local store even when I use the ipad walmart app. Then I use another "local" store and it doesnt read the barcode. What gives? I guess I will return it as it just doesnt seem right. Every other dino set it on sale at half off. Strange to say the least.

    The app was pretty useful. I loaded all the 2011 and 2012 sets into it and changed stores on the fly to check prices, that way I could get in and get out and stop by as many walmart stores as possible in the shortest amount of time.

    I sat at home last night and pulled up the UPC codes in brickset. Then I pulled up a Walmart location on my iPhone app. Figure out what set you are looking for, look it up, scan the UPC with your phone and it will tell you if they have it and what price it is.

    My best finds this morning was 2 black pearls for $49.50 each. Also found 5 destiny bounty's for $34.50.

    Anyone find anything today? Based on how the day progressed in my area yesterday, it looks like everything would be cleared out. Did some online checking around and considered hitting some more rural areas but it does not appear to be a smart venture.

    I grabbed everything at 50% except a few landspeeders. Left everything at 30% except a few Weathertops. I'm sure I missed a few sets I couldn't remember. Also grabbed 7 polys for $1.50 each. Any idea if WM will increase discounts more? I would like to grab at least one batmobile and mine.

    Thanks for the heads up. I live in Pickerington and ended up spending more than I intended. They also had a ton of Series 7 and some series 8 mini figures for $1 in the clearance area. I'm thinking checking out the Whitehall walmart might turn into an annual post-Christmas tradition

    I just couldnt leave it alone and checked another walmart by work. Again the shelves were fully stocked. Items that were on sale at everyother WM I went to were not on sale. This store actually had big red "Clearance" stickers on the items that were on sale. Nothing except Dino sets and Advent calanders were 50% off. I did endup getting a Helms Deep for 489...mainly because i didnt have one. I did get 6 Ninjago booster packs for $1. I have yet to find any Mini fig packs at any of the 6 Walmarts I have checked.

    Oh my.. this is my dream walmart. I hope they have some left for tomorrow. I almost head out right now but I can't justify it. Whitehall is almost opposite direction to where I work (delaware) though :(
