You'll have to sort through and look around but a lot of sets are included in a 20% off sale and include free two day shipping on orders over 49.00. The most notable deal I took advantage of was the 4431 City Ambulance that came out to less than 10 apiece on my order after discounts. http://www.yoyo.com/p/lego-city-ambulance-4431-272659 . Happy Hunting!

Sorry all, looks like this one sold out already, man, I can't find a deal that lasts more than an hour...apologies.

I got #79003 for $55 after tax. Actually a friend got it for me- I used the coupon previously. Quite happy with this deal!

I just picked up #79003 as well. $49.99 before tax and free shipping was just too hard to pass up!

How do you get the 20% to work?
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
Hmmm, just put EVENTYY in and 79003 does not qualify :(

Yoyo appears to have "TRU'd" most of their coupon codes. I couldn't get LEGO20 or EVENTYY to work on anything I wanted. And they don't have a handy way of identifying OOS items.

Yeah, LEGO Hobbit sets is there in small print on the bottom of the web coupon. Quite the bummer. I was hoping to pick up #79003 a little earlier than planned.

Oh well, tons of time for post-Christmas sales on that set.

    I used YOYO30 this morning.

Yeah, I think YOYO30 only works once per customer. And, I don't think it has any exclusions.

YOYO30 doesn't work on the Hobbit sets anymore; not sure if it excludes any other Lego.

Bummer! I saw this early in the morning and put #79003 in my cart and yoyo30 worked, but I didn't check out. I finally came now to finish the order and it doesn't work as those above mentioned. :(

Yup, stuff like that makes me lose interest in a store. On-line or in store. Who wants to go to the trouble of picking out items and check out only to find that a coupon you thought would apply doesn't. Sure causes me to lose interest in most of TRU's sales. And, is quickly causing me to just delete yoyo.com emails.

If you are a first time customer, YOYO30AC will work on 79003 and bring price down to $49.99.

To be fair these coupons are meant to entice new customers, not for AFOL to abuse. I won't complain because I've scored three great deals from them. If the coupons quit working I'll just shop elsewhere. I just won't get mad about it.

    ^Agreed.

^^ Don't think he was referring to the "first time customer" coupons. There are other ones like "eventyy" that isn't. And there I have to agree with cloaked7. Its their right to do it, but it does discourage me from even looking as I don't want the hassle. I never even look at TRU stuff anymore unless someone points out something that does work.

^I love it when someone makes perfect sense.

^^ Thanks @gmpirate Correct, I didn't mean the first time customer coupon.

And, I wanted the set for myself, not for resell.

I was going to pick up a Hobbit set. Took the time to look at what they had, put in my cart, logged in (because I have an acct), and at the very end noticed the coupon didn't work. Then, silly me tried to find out why, because the reason given by yoyo wasn't very informative. After reading through fine print (taking even more time), I noticed that Hobbit LEGO was excluded. I even thought, as has been mentioned, 'oh great, a classic TRU frustrating tactic'. BTW, the coupon code I got in an email from yoyo.com, so I figured they wanted me to use it. And, would have gladly done so, but what I wanted was excluded. It just turned into a big hassle and a waste of my time.

I picked up #6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle. I thought it was a good deal using the first time buyer code.
