    ^ I did. :o)

And I wonder about some of the people who work there:

"Hi, I placed an order on your website which arrived today. Some people I know had received a free Brick Or Treat in with there order, but I didn't. Do you know why this is?"

"Hellloooo, yeees, and hoow may I help you?"

    I sent an email...

It's all happening... these last 2 weeks or so are the cheap Lego frenzy we've waited for this year. So glad I held off on almost everything til now.

Heard from upstairs this morning "oh no, the snakes are destroying Heartlake City." Before you cheer too loudly Nya took them out with her mech.

Now off to negotiate with the 8-year-old who is declaring that there will be no trick-or-treating unless a Nya costume magically appears.
  • Penkid11Penkid11 Member Posts: 788
All you need is a Samurai helmet with fold horns and samurai armor along with a red shirt with matching pants. Or if its normal Nya just find a kimono. These are pretty easy to find around this time of year.

I got some more Cake today. :)

Waiting impatiently for my HH to arrive Monday or Tuesday. :)
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@penkid11 but I was going to get off so easily with Ahsoka as she had the hooded shirt already. If I let her change her mind now she'll change it again Tuesday. She does have a Mulan kimono somewhere though, hmmm.

Saw the new holiday polybags and the new ornaments at the LEGO store today.
    image

The ornament is $7.99 and when you buy one you can fill it with parts from the pick-a-brick wall. I like the dish element with the LEGO logo.

Found that my child has once again taken parts I need for the modular library. Rethinking our storing philosophy and wondering if she'll notice if I take than MOC apart.

We don't get to do that in the UK, boo hiss!

Totally agree about the dish though. Very cool though I have no idea what MOC I'll use it in :O) It was the only reason I bought one, as the bauble element is the same as the ones that come filled, of which I was buying 3 gold ones. Once again - no idea what MOC I'll use gold 2x2 bricks in! But MUST HAVE.
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@legoboy :-P I know where they are, which is all I claimed. They're not from a set anyhow.

Went to the store with my PAB cup and they pulled out all the new stuff for me including the windows I needed, brown chairs, arched windows and golden inserts and horses! Almost forgot about my migraine I was having so much fun filling my cup.

Yeah, I was glad to see the return of the gold 2x2 baubles. I bought several last year. And likewise, not sure what I'll do with them yet.

Blessed! One simple word! Left hip replacement surgery was successful. Spent an additional 15 days in rehab and home today on my birthday to find hubby bought me the Winter Village Cottage, Friends Summer Riding Camp and the Horse Trailer!

Thank you to all for the kind wishes. Did not have access to the internet much of the time but I thought of all of you here often! I'm happy to be back and expect to be back to building quickly!

Got round to building The Burrow. Really nice set with some cool minifigs.
I think Haunted House is up next :-)

@flump Did you use CAKE on your order you got a brick or treat in? I did, and when I emailed about the missing brick or treat, they just sent me another cake. Perhaps they decided that if you're getting a gift already you don't get another, or is the cake the brick and the minifig is the treat...
  • LegoboyLegoboy Member Posts: 8,827
^ I didn't use CAKE with my order as I forgot. I found a MF keyring in my shipping box. I have had the odd thing arrive with my order in the past so might not have been a brick or treat thing at all, just coincidence.
  • MatthewMatthew Administrator Posts: 3,714
Maybe it is US only then, and they assumed I was referring to the cake. The email just said sorry and they'd send it out. Still, an extra cake is not to be sneezed at, and I'm not sure it'd be worth their time to take it back, particularly as the shipping from the Netherlands must have cost a fortune, as they sent it in one of the standard small boxes, with 4 airbags...

I stopped in at the Bellevue, Seattle LEGO store today (am currently at a conference here). Very courteous staff here. I asked about the December calendar and they went in the back room to open the box and start pulling them out. Also gave me a catalog, which was nice since I never seem to get these in the mail. I asked if the stores are getting these now, but they said it was just a holiday thing.

Nothing much in December. PaB box deal continues up until Dec.24. No exclusive holiday set deal mentioned. PaB model is St. Nick. Mini model build is a reindeer.

The one new bit which might be nice is a free "exclusive" Friends set with any Friends purchase. They don't show any pics of what that set might be though. The deal is only valid Dec. 1 -11.

Maybe. #30100 Nice wintery, holiday set for this hemisphere. :) Where has that set been available otherwise? Looks like a nice cheap way to get an orange fish (only comes in that set and Pet Shop).

Finally got around to cracking open the Minecraft set. The instructions were surprisingly hard to follow. Made plenty of mistakes. Or maybe it was just late.

Bummed. Tried to take my son to his first monthly build at the LEGO store and got turned away because he is 4 years old. Months ago when I asked about the age limit they said as long as he can follow instructions they'd allow him to participate but apparently an edict from higher up stated that they needed to start enforcing this age requirement. Oh well. My son handled it like a champ though so I'm proud of him. (just a note, my son is able to follow directions from regular sets, like the Creator #6914, so the monthly build would have been within his ability).
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@aimlesspursuits I think you should lie in December, if they recognize you say he had a birthday.

I'll check if my store had extras next time I'm in, I've never seen them enforce a minimum age.
