hiya all,
i have this minifig which i can't seem to place. i almost looked @ all the star wars minifigs and still can't seem to place the torso of this to something.

its helmet seems to be of the TIE pilot. can anyone help me with the torso please.

I think it's from the classic space theme 'Blacktron'

The helmet is from a Star Wars set and the torso is indeed from old Blacktron.

Top left is an Indiana Jones head and torso? Middle is Star Wars Rebel head and PoP torso, right is a PotC cannibal.
Bottom left is the new monster fighters Rodney Rathbone torso and legs and a zombie chauffeur torso.

Your second picture has this part x2 4864b in red. These are the sets that have that part in that quantity or greater.

I'd go through each of those sets and see which has your red body/dark legged minifig.

Bottom right is a stormtrooper (sans helmet), bottom left is clone trooper (Episode III style--the helmet above is from an Episode III clone pilot, possibly from the 2005 ARC-170 or the first V-wing). The top one is assembled from various parts. I think the body could be from Harry Potter?

The hair from the top-right looks a bit like hair from luke skywalker but hard to be sure. See this: brickset.com/minifigs/?m=sw068 although it may be from another set. the head is a standard smile head I think (bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bp01)

The sweater from top-right is from a Knockturn alley set (only set it appears in) 4720-1 Also, that hair is the same hair used for Draco Malfoy in several sets.

Sand green legs are in 44 sets and are used for star wars rebels or as the boggart version of snape in an HP set as well as a whole load of others.

@StarCrash The pics you posted ( http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/comment/100365/#Comment_100365 ) are not LEGO. If you look closely at the studs and undersides of plates you can see this more clearly.

^^ Odd, I remember inspecting one at Brickfair and the head was just trans-green with the yellow outside, so it's certainly not "forged" (in the sense of molded) by them.

I have some old parts that I am trying to figure out what sets they go to. The numbers do not match anything on all the parts sites I have tried. This part is the one I am trying to find (pictured). Any suggestions??

The part on top is 3183b and the part on the bottom is 3462. Both found on Bricklink. You should put these questions in the Master Thread for indentifying parts.

Go to Bricklink.com and click on the catalog tab and enter the part numbers in the search field. On the right it will tell you that the parts came in x number of sets and click on that.

^^ I was going by what the website said because everything you read on the internet is true. But I suppose they never said they themselves forged the parts, just that some professional did.

@Bcj5_10 That looks like two parts. Specifically a Red Plate, Modified 1 x 4 with Towball Socket, Long, 2 Slots and a Red Plate, Modified 2 x 3 with Helicopter Rotor Holder. Not sure if they appeared joined together like that in any models, but it looks like the two parts did appear as parts in the same set on two occasions: #1056 and #599.

@brickmatic - they are lego parts. I bought one to see. They spray paint the head yellow (from trans yellow) and of course print on them. high quality.
