Which set do you have most of, and why?

I appear to have 92 #30055 Vulture Droid polybags, making it by far the greatest quantity of any one set I own. (I knew I had quite a few, but it wasn't until just now that I got round to counting them!)

Why? Primarily because they were cheap, and they take up very little space! There's only 45 parts, but it's great if you're after lots of dark blue and dark grey curved slopes.

    Without including train track sections for obvious reasons I would say I own 32 of set 7566 because they were cheap when they went eol. But for actual large sets I own 8 or maybe 9 4559's just because I like the color scheme and it doesn't flip off the track at full speed like other 9v trains tend to do. Really it's not that good of a design if you look at it but it is my favorite for doing multiple cars run together.

    3 #4744 Tundra Trackers. I loved the set but it would always be peeled apart into my massive bins of bricks, so I just got it again because it was still available... twice.

    Well right now have 8 #850487 I need more zombies!!! I do have a bunch of doubles of the the collectible minifigs...about 120 Hazmat Guys, 12 Evil Knights, 10 Computer Programmers, 5 Butchers, 5 Mechanics, 5 Crazy Scientists.

    A close run between #30080 , the Ninjago Glider poly x64 and the 2011 Target Bullseye Gift Card #4659758 x71. The gift cards were free which is a no brainer, and the Glider was marked down 90% off after Halloween... and I was able to buy 55 of them at one store alone!

    I bought 7 of #7201 Final Dual II mainly for the Stormtroopers, and 6 each of #3177 Small Car and #4436 Patrol Car, the latter to have matching police cars for whenever I find space and time to build a large city scene.

    @adello25 120 Hazmat guys?? Really? Haha sorry but I never thought of those as an army building figure. I myself did pick up like 7 of them though.

    My record for most number of sets at one time is #30080 - Had about 550 of them last year, sold every single one of them...

    I have about 10 sets each of Hoth battlepacks and 30ish of the endor battlepack to make up my 2 battle shelves. They cost me nowt as they were bought to get free shirtless Darth Mauls to sell at more than qualifying purchase.

    You mean the Ramses Pyramid? I think I only had 80 of those, I honestly don't recall. Those are all gone too, except of course for the 1 copy I kept for the tan baseplate. :)

    I should have bought more, for the $3.50 or so that I got them for, that is one of the best money makers I've ever had. :)

    It was a price error on the S@H web site last BF I think, it was $3.48 or something crazy like that. Bought two lots of 40 of them if memory serves, or maybe it was one lot.

    In any case, the next day I went over to my local Lego store to buy all their stock and they said it was an error on S@H, yes they knew about it, no they would not honor that price. :)

    S@H sold out very quickly as well, but that shouldn't be a surprise.

    I also capitalized on the error pricing on the Ramses Pyramid. I purchased 90 sets, plus including the ones I picked up on sale at Target stores, i have 114 sets. The other two sets I have plenty of are: Hazmat minifigure--125--and the gladiator minifigure--144.

    As pointed out, the Ramses set was too cheap to pass up, and the minifigures were something I bought because they were easy to feel.

    I gave up on feeling for minifigures because I have lost the thrill to do so.

    My wife would like that, however, I've never considered selling any of my Lego sets. If I did, you would be a perfect person since I know we are probably within 50nm of each other.

    @jadedanc, most of my gliders and 2011 gift cards were either donated to Goodwill or used in the Technical Writing class I teach. I do have a crap load of gold swords now, though. Most of the pieces made it back to me, but the students do often "take" souvenirs home from that assignment ;) Then again, I wonder if I actually do have unopened copies still in my office? (ooh, gonna do some office digging tomorrow :)

    ??? What on earth do you need 114 of them for if not to resell? Even for the baseplates, what would you need that many tan ones for?

    I'm a small fry compared to some of the guys on here so for me it would be a modest 6 copies of the Black Pearl set.

    The biggest set I have 2 of is the space centre, and also the space shuttle which they were selling them for 9 euro the other day. I also have 2 creator log cabins as my wife got me one cheap from the local supermarket.

    I have a few duplicate small sets like the small car, police bike and that sort of thing and then I have 5 of the city racer polybags - the customer service lady kept 4 aside for me in the last promotion as they couldn't find them at the time. I got 1 from a local toy store.

    They're really for parts and the minifigs.

    For personal consumption only ... I've got 36 Romans (CMF 6), and 16 Hazmats (CMF 4). The Hazmats actually look better as a team, rather than individuals. I've also got about 30 Evil Knights (S7). Why? Because I love them.

    I should also be getting 25 Endor rebels and imperials sets - Why? for the stormtroopers and they were cheap, cheaper than buying individual stormies.

    I did have 50 Frodo polys, but they have now all been sold or traded away except a couple.

    Although I have multiples of several small sets. I have 2 helms deep because it just needed to be built bigger. I plan on picking more up when I can find them on sale again.

    I suppose there are a few ways to look at the question:

    (1) What set do you own the most quantity of? We'll probably see a lot of people (as already demonstrated) owning a lot of very small sets.

    (2) What set do you own that gave you the most pieces overall (counting all copies together)? For this, I expect we'd see things that are bulk buckets bought in quantity, like, say, 3033.

    (3) What set do you own that gave you the most MSRP value overall (counting all copies together)? I'm not sure what to expect here!

    For myself:

    (1) 3460 2x4 White Bricks - 52 copies: 50 pieces (2600 total), $7 MSRP ($364 total)

    (2) 4679 Bricks & Creations w/ Bonus box - 10 copies: 1500 pieces (15000 total), $20 MSRP ($200 total). Caveat - I MIGHT own more pieces from Large PAB cups-- I count 14,902 pieces from large PAB cups, but a couple of those were estimated and not counted explicitly, so it's a close call!

    (3) 5988 Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins - 7 copies: 710 pieces (4970 total), $80 MSRP ($560 total)

    4679 was indeed a great deal, that was done during Lego's dark times when they were fighting for survival, cash flow was probably more important than profits at that point in time.

    I picked 3 of those up off Bricklink for 60 each not too long ago, still a great price for all those parts.

    I have three #6801 Moon Buggies. Why? Well. It was my children's birthday, thirty years ago. Three friends came with identical presents - said moon buggy. My parents said, "Wait, open only one, then we can return the other two to the store for different sets." But I wouldn't listen.

    Today I wish I had listened, of course, and exchanged the moon buggies for #6821 Shovel Buggy or #886 Space Buggy, for example...

    I also have two #6841 Mineral Detectors. Same birthday, same story...

    I think I have three Spartans from the second wave of Minifigures. I say, "think" because I only opened one of the bags. I'm fairly certain the other two are Spartans, however, since I verified the barcodes. As to why I have three: the novelty of the collectible minifigure had not worn me out yet (probably because I rarely saw them in stores, or was rarely in stores that sold them to begin with), and I always wanted Lego to do something based in ancient Greece and the Hellenic culture. My sister and I found a brand-new box of Series 2 in a Walden Books that was closing down, so together, we went through a whole box and got every single minifigure I wanted. And when I found three Spartans, I just couldn't resist the urge to snatch them all up. A rarity for me, considering I normally buy only what I want, and usually, I only want one.

    I have 5 of Pirate Cannon Battle sets (6239) and 5 of City Police bikes (7235). I thought the cannon battle set at $5.99 was one of the better values in the Lego line at the time - I mean who couldn't use more cannons? And as for 5 police bikes - well.. somebody has to keep order in the ever expanding modular city, right? :)

    ^The Pirate Canon Battle sets are great additions to the Imperial Flagship. The ship only comes with 4 canons, and there is room for 8 if I remember correctly. I purchased a few before and after market to load up the ship. Also the British soldier is another great addition for the ship. Perfect combination...

    I think the set I have the most of is #7569. It comes with 4 MFs, a horse, and some other interesting odds and ends. Every time I saw it for less than $7.50, I pulled the trigger....I couldn't help myself. One of the better deals out there per MF. Probably never be able to sell them, but I didn't feel guilty purchasing them. I guess that makes it okay. :-)

    #7747-1 Wind Turbine Transport x 3 - We have our own wind turbine farm! Also have 3 of the Maersk Train 10219-1, because trains often have more than one engine.
