Nice! Looks like if there are no surprises in our budget we should be able to get two!

Love zombies, but having already got one in Vampire Hearse set and The Zombies set, I don't know if I want a third. Then again, there's supposed to be some good stuff coming out in September so I'll probably end up getting it anyways.

^ You can never have enough zombies ;)

I was excited when I saw images for this set, but that is one expensive way of army building...hopefully they'll be reasonable on BL.

To be fair, this vehicle is not the same as any that are in the sets.

Will this have it's own set number attached to it?
  • beabea Member Posts: 227
Can these be gotten when you order something they don't have in store?

The ad is from the U.S. September calendar. Not sure if the deal will be in other countries or not.

I would think so. I'm guessing it's a polybag with set number 40076. I found the set number from Brickset here - which must have pulled it from some feed (dunno the source).

Do you mean you visit a LEGO store, they don't have what you want in store, so they order it for you with free shipping? If so, yes, you should get the item, as they essentially use the web site to order your items, which should add the freebie to your order automatically.

So is this set a replacement or an alternative to set 30200?
http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=30200-1... I'm going to bet that 30200 is going to be a Target seasonal Halloween polybag. They always have some kind of seasonal polybag sets.

Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks for the information.

Picked up a Lego Autumn catalogue yesterday and this set #40076 will be available in the UK from September 1 -30 online and in Lego stores for free when you spend £50.
Free shipping as well for £50+ orders and on the back page of the catalogue is a coupon valid for £5 off from store purchases September 5- October 5.

Technically this Zombie costs 75 dollars
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
^ only if you buy a $75 set to get it and then throw that set away. Otherwise it is still "technically" free.
  • richoricho Member Posts: 3,830
    ^ that is true.

Is the figure the same as 30200?

Nice little bonus to go along with my Haunted House purchase!

^ I bet most of us are thinking the same

This is what I try to avoid reading these discussions. I was going to wait until October and double VIP points for the Haunted House, and now you show me this. Must ... practice ... self-control ...

Thats is big deal, I think!
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,789
Yeah nice combo with the Haunted house.. Need to hit LEGO store a few more times and build up some VIP points for the Haunted House
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
^ lol.. not sure that makes sense. You're going to go buy more stuff to earn more points for the haunted house when you could just spend that money on the haunted house?

Have we seen this zombie in other sets or does he only come with this set?
  • teal93mr2teal93mr2 Member Posts: 1,009
@Brick_Obsession: I am pretty sure that it is exactly the same as one of the zombies that comes in set #9465 The Zombies.

Split my purchases today into two transactions to get two cars... and then built a car for the Stratford store to display at the till, so I can keep both mine sealed (for now), having already had the pleasure of building it :-)

My daughter built it over the breakfast that we had with a few other bricksetters. It's a surprisingly detailed little vehicle.

Got two of them this morning while stocking up on two rounds of quality Grab Bags. Was able to also help a mother and her awesome son locate the evil robot in Series 8, and help another great couple find the final three Series 7 minifigs they needed. Great day at the Lego Store!
  • Bosstone100Bosstone100 Member Posts: 1,431
@krklint - what'd you get in the grab bags? I keep looking at the Sawgrass store but other than the sail I saw last time, there aren't a lot of interesting pieces in there. I'd love to pick up grab bags with some Fire Brigade or Town Hall pieces in there. I just don't get that lucky.

Picked up the Haunted House and zombie car this afternoon. HH will be the most expensive retail priced set I've bought... and I don't even get to build it. My wife gets that honor.

^ I'll be waiting for the tear-down of the Haunted House into grab bags. ;)
  • krklintkrklint Member Posts: 502
@Bosstone100, two weeks ago I scored pieces from the Fire Brigade in grab bags. This time around, as odd as this may sound, I scored many large plates from the Tower Bridge and other sets (including dark green and dark red and ones without knobs). Also, many pieces from the Build-a-sword thing they had going in July/August, and pieces which I am not sure what sets they are from. In total, I purchased 15 grab bags and only ended up with about 20 two by ____ bricks (insert number). oh, and the three of the purple sections of the Bat Girl motorcycle (very odd).

I was told that the next bags made could include parts from the 4-headed Ninjago dragon (brains fried from sorting, can't think of names) and a returned USC R2-D2.

I won't buy the haunted house for a while - bought too many grab bags over the past two weekends :) and I actually shared a few of the better grab bags with some people walking by as I was deciding on which GrabBags weren't worth buying.
