Just last week bought the Ultra Sonic Raider for only $51 USD.

Then a few days ago I bought Lasha's Bite Cycle and the Ninjago Tool Pack. With all sales I got the Tool Pack for $5 USD (full price for the cycle however...)

And then just last week I scored 3.5lbs. of Bionicle parts for only $28 (including shipping) from ebay. It sounds like a shame to use my money on that, but the value for the items I got well exceed $100. Here is what I've found so far:

    Axxon (complete, no helmet)
    Takanuva (complete figure, partial Ussanui)
Toa Lhikan and Kikanalo (Lhikan missing leg plate, almost complete Kikanalo)
    Nidhiki (partial)
Krekka (partial and it just had to be missing the white pipe!)
And other parts for at least
    3 Toa Mata
    2 Toa Nuva
    2 Toa Metru
    1 Vahki
    4 Rakhshi
And others... I just recieved it 2 days ago and I'm still parting pieces out.

I have a similar situation. I bought about 40lbs of LEGO and Bionicle last week. I have found about 20 different Bionicle sets in this ( don't know if all pieces are there though). Is it worth it to try to piece the sets to together and sell or put the whole lot of Bionicle pieces up for sale?
  • samiam391samiam391 Member Posts: 4,506
^Unfortunately Bionicle isn't worth very much... it may not be worth your time to build all the sets and then sell them, just to make a few extra bucks. Personally, I'd go with a large parts lot, using the instructions as a guide to what you "probably" have as a list for the potential buyer.

Surprised I might be able to piece together Batman set 7781 from 3 gallons of Lego I bought for $15 which was filled mostly with Megabloks.

@flump - if @Renny doesn't need the stickers, I'm interested. I bought this set, used w/ box, a couple of years ago, but it didn't have the display sticker. Let me know and we can work out a trade. I'd appreciate it.

    Here is my great find

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-2012-NY-TOY-FAIR-IRON-MAN-CAPTAIN-AMERICA-125-LIMITED-EDITION-LOOSE-/221084125609?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid=111000&algo=REC.CURRENT&ao=1&asc=14&meid=1005267692044464257&pid=100015&prg=1006&rk=1&#ht_550wt_948

LoL I wouldn't dream of paying this but my recent great find was a Lego killer croc figure with his boat and batmans little boat to go along with it for only £3 but the two little boats were missing a few pieces but still a very good deal and I also got lots of other great deals that I might post later in this thread
  • ErnstErnst Member Posts: 133
Some nice deals on Dutch Marktplaats again last weekend and received all today for a total of € 90,00.

7016-1: Viking Boat against the Wyvern Dragon
    7009-1: The Final Joust
    7091-1: Knight's Catapult Defense
    4192-1: Fountain of Youth
    4193-1: The London Escape

All used but complete and in great condition, I'm happy again.
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639

^I don't think he bought it... I think he was just showing the ridiculous price they went for. Would you believe it that those things went up $400+ in 60 seconds? Crazy bidders out there...
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
^Oops, I'm not too careful of a reader sometimes so it sounded like since he got a great deal on Killer Croc and Batman, that he went all-in for the ToyFair figs. Lol
  • samiam391samiam391 Member Posts: 4,506
^Not going to lie, I'm getting sucked in by all this.... once you get one, you really do have too get them all. Batman 1 figures here I come!
  • kezkez Member Posts: 831
@BrickDancer no I don't own any exclusive figures that go for that sort of money but I might own one of them two figures soon if I win this Lego competition, but if I did own one I would probably sell it considering what sort of money it's going for, I have all superheroes 2012 sets other than the bionicle style figures so far and I also have part of the killer croc set from the old batman sets.
The other great finds I got was a box of Lego with one unopened set and one police boat included in the box for £8 which I thought was a bargain and I also have got lots of other great bargains from the car boot, the car boot is where I get loads of great finds for a great deal

^My fingers are double crossed you win... my Ironman would be lonely no more!

I got the viking , knight, and kingdoms chess sets. Anyone interested in all 3 for 300 or less

I recently thought I had stumbled on a gem, the #10131 Tie Fighter Collection with a slightly busted box, at a yard sale for $5. Opened it up, pieces looked new and shiny, some factory bags I thought were still sealed, instructions too... Got home, there's about 200 of the 650ish pieces. Disappointing, but I would have still bought it anyway.

So that's what I said about a month ago. Finally got around to actually building it today, turns out I have a complete Tie Fighter and another of whatever those with the longer wings are called. No minifigs though, but the pieces are definitely new, no dust, no scratches, etc. Not bad for five bucks!

Went to a Wal-Mart close to home, hate that store as it is a little hood and not so clean, the clientele is horrible, however they had a ton of lego on sale, may go back for some more but they had LOTR the big castle at $80, bunch of star wars marked down, couple creator sets, some dino sets, cars, and a few other items on mark down.

All I bought was #6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape for $13 and #5764 for $11.

    Scored a Mos Eisley Cantina 4501 today.....for FREE~!

While visiting my brother in law this weekend he passed over his sons collection to give to my son. Sadly they had given away the Greedo a few months back to a kid who was visiting.

Stoked to add the Dewback to the Escape Pod display.

I just bought a UCS Falcon (10179) used for $180. According to the seller, incomplete and supposedly some glued pieces but it was a deal too good to pass up. Just picked it up and it seems to be most of the model -- the "incomplete" comes from anything that fell off over time. I'll have to inventory and see what's missing. Definitely saw the special yellow Technic pieces and at least a couple of grey levers. Seemed to also include at least three of the five figures. I didn't see the radar dish, though - could be in the bag but my guess is that it fell off and is missing. No manual.

I'm cautiously optimistic that this is "mostly" complete and that whatever is missing will be relatively easy to fix (other than the radar dish). Seemed like a very good deal - depending on the condition and extent of the glued pieces, I'll have to debate whether I keep or sell this one.

I found 4 Series 6 CMF for 76 cents at the local Target, On the 50% Clearance aisle in a display box of pinwheels...
  • RennyRenny Member Posts: 1,145
^^Hopefully it also has the 2 mast riggings on it. Those are the most expensive pieces for that set.

Dumped everything out of the bag. Both mast riggings. And the Radar Dish. And quite a few bley levers. I'm pretty sure this puppy is close to complete. Hoping that the gluing is minimal. I may have a huge find on my hands here.
  • hoyatableshoyatables Member Posts: 873
^light grey, not bley levers. Sorry.
  • RennyRenny Member Posts: 1,145
Congratulations :) The riggings and dish alone should make up most of your cost.

Just pick up a decent but not a great deal! After a close call on cafe corner and green grocer last time, finally able to pick up a green grocer for 240. No figures, instruction and box. But at least seems most of the stuff are there and I don't have to drive almost 180 miles round trip to pick it up. Only about 60 in a peak hour traffic in SF Bay Area. 1 down. 1 more to go!!!!

Managed to pick up #6242 - Pirate Soldiers' Fort MISB for £50 delivered. Quite happy with that. The question now is, do I open it?
