Request valuation of 10177 Boeing 787 Dreamliner

hey fellow lego people,

I've got another set I'd like an opinion on please.

I'm considering selling this set to help fund other interests. The set is complete with the parts being in great shape and the sticker sheet is new and unused, however, I can't see to locate the instruction manuals.

Couple questions:

What could I look to get for this set "as is"?

Would it be worth it to perhaps buy a instruction set to packing into the deal and then sell?

Any comments are appreciated of course.

thanks
Randy

Sealed, it's going for $300 on ebay. Used with box and instructions, about $170.

I'd print out the instructions on nice paper and include them (and disclose as such, of course), then you can probably get $150. Shooting for more than that is unlikely to hit.

I sold this set earlier this year on Bricklink, $300 used with instructions and box. Seeing as you have neither of those, I wouldn't think you'd get more than $200...and like tensor said, probably $150 on Ebay.

    Thanks for the comments guy.

Do you think there would be any value added if I purchased a set of manuals to go with the set?

@ranlep- I'd agree with the comments above regarding price.

    Judging from bricklink:
    http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=64523

It is NOT worth it to purchase the instructions. Break it down:

-$150 with a printed copy of instructions (maybe add on a few bucks because of that).
-$170 with a real copy of instructions (both manuals)

    That's a difference of $20.

Cheapest copy on bricklink that is actually in relatively good condition would be roughly $40+.

In other words, you would net -$20. Definitely not worth it.

I would print out a copy, and if you do not want to waste the paper/ink than mention in the listing you have a link to free pdf instructions that the buyer can use.

I've done that multiple times for sets and send them the link to the instructions immediately following payment. Works just fine.

    Best of luck!
