Creating custom instructions on a mac?

beabea Member Posts: 227
Has anyone successfully used lpub to create instructions on a mac?

I downloaded bricksmith, which included ldraw and then downloaded ldview and lpub. According to this https://sites.google.com/site/workingwithlpub/setting-up-lpub/apple-version I also need a parts.lst so I downloaded one from here http://www.ldraw.org/library/official/parts.lst and put it in the ldraw directory under bricksmith. Then I set that same directory as the "ldraw root directory" in lpub.

Now I open my .ldr file in lpub and I get a blank screen with a little 1 in the corner. Any ideas on how I'm messing this up?

This is my model:
