Is paypal okay for large sales or am i just paranoid?

I'm selling a UCS Millenium Falcon but I'm suddenly concerned - is paypal going to be an issue? Rather, I have limits lifted so I can transfer out more than the stock 300/month, but should i be concerned with the seller turning around and claiming they never received the package? Am i just being paranoid, or should i request a cashiers check and let that clear first?

buyer in question doesn't have a whole lot of bricklink feedback, but it is all positive.

Paypal should be just fine. Most people are honest. Make sure you have the package insured with tracking and also add signiture confirmation. It is requested by PayPal for packages worth over $250. It is not like PP always sides with the buyer if there is a dispute. If you have proper tracking and insurance and you can prove that the package was delivered, you should be fine. Also, you might consider taking a few pictures before shipping, just in case. And pack well to make sure there is no damage possible. With those precautions in place the transaction should be just fine...(c:

I sold mine with Paypal through ebay. Like others have said just make sure it is packed well, insured and you get a signature confirmation service. As for the limit on Paypal it depends on how quickly you need the funds.

there is always some amount of risk. If you take all the precautions listed above, you absolutely should be protected, but of course it's not a guarantee.
