Mark all viewed

New forum member brickmatic asked if there was a way to mark all messages as read, which is a reasonable thing to want to do if you're new to the forum and hundreds of discussions have gone on before you joined.

So, I got the add-in added and as you'll see there's a new menu item in the blue bar. I haven't clicked on it yet to know what happens though!

Thanks Huw for responding to my request!

I clicked the button, but it doesn't seem to do anything for me. I still have the new message markers on the threads.

    Me too!

I'll try and see what's up.

Have we figured out if "Mark all viewed" is doing anything yet? When I use it, I am expecting the discussions flagged with "new" responses will no longer be flagged, but it's not happening for me.

Me neither. That feature is currently as much use as a chocolate teapot.

I've asked tech support: if it doesn't get fixed before we go live I'll remove the link

Talking of removing links can we get rid of that 'Powered by Vanilla'? It's annoying me :-)

Any word from tech support? I still think removing the "x new" messages all at once would be a useful option to have.
