Maybe it's my age but I have a real aversion to the Simpsons, but I admit I really like the Simpson's house. And I really needed another new set on my 'gotta have it' list . . . Not!

The Ewok Village is way overpriced given what is in it, but it is SW and it is selling.

Compare it to the new PR, 500 more parts, $90 fewer dollars.

Apples and oranges, in my opinion. Ewok Village is licensed and has twelve more minifigures. Ewok Village also has larger parts, in general; Parisian Restaurant has ~400 1x1 cheeses/plates/tiles while Ewok Village has ~100. And I know box weight is a flawed comparison (though no less flawed than price per piece), but Parisian Restaurant is 1.06g per part while Ewok Village is 1.52g per part.

So has it been established what exactly is going on with the rest of this series?
Is it just this one set and done, or will there be more? I don't remember the CMF ever being confirmed, or has it?

    SO MANY QUESTIONS.

Don't forget Apu! They could make at least 4 series and still have recognizable characters left.

^ If they made even half the guest stars, they'd have enough for series for the next 20 years. :)

The licensing for the guest stars would be a nightmare!

Actually, haven't seen these posted in here yet - Lego have uploaded an album to Facebook with loads of pictures of the set, shows some great details in there. No news on other sets or a CMF range though... would have expected some smaller sets for this line!

I just hope they make more sets like:

    -Monorail
-Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop
    -Springfield Nuclear Power Plant
    -Kwik-E-Mart
    -Springfield Mall
    -Krusty Burger
    -Lard Lad Donuts
    -The Frying Dutchman
    -Springfield Elementary School
    And the List goes on...

This Theme can be like Star Wars and say with Lego for years. Let's hope that happens.

Ah, just found this - http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=71005-0

And I guess if one series of 16 Simpsons minifigs does well (which it probably will), they'll be able to knock out another series a few months later.

So the floors of the house DO lift off!

That's even better than just the dollhouse opening style!

$3.99... Here's hoping its only the Simpsons, if its a price increase across the board...Sad Panda.

Just think what it did for North Haverbrook, Ogdenville and Brockway!

How about Mrs. Krabappel for the CMFs? There could also be a school scene with her in it.
