9497, Republic StrikeClass Fighter Pieces misprint?

I got this from the sale from Tesco this week, built it.

When I finished building it, I noticed this problem.

image

The black line on the right side of the photo doesnt match with the other one, same with the bigger white line.

Part no are:
6005103
6005105

Does everybody seems to have this problem??

On the instruction photo, it shows that the line and the white decal are symmetrical.

Not built mine yet, but on the face of it this looks like a quality control issue. Is it just on a set by set basis?, or is it across a much bigger or even the entire run? Need more control points to find out...

Just picked up one I won on eBay today. Was planning on looking at it tonight so I'll see how they line up on mine a little later tonight.

My built copy is off by a hair but not as bad as yours. I also parted out 5 of these and it appears this is just a quality control issue for this part because of the 5 pairs it looked like I may have 1 left and 2 right that all line up nicely and the other ones are all a little different.

Got mine from Tesco this week also and it lines up perfectly, although one of the black lines is closer to the side than the other, so it's not perfect, but it isn't noticable like yours.

Should I contact LEGO and ask for a replacement?

^Sure, they'll give you new ones, especially if you show them the pic.
