LEGO Creator and Minis

I'm really enjoying that the new LEGO Creator house sets come with minis. I haven't bought creator sets (such as the larger Jet or car ones) to know if minis can be used in those very well. Might anyone know about this? Also as a general question, do you thinking minis should be included with every Creator set? Personally I think it may help boost sales. Can you imagine having a nice little mini with that Dinosaur Creator set? :) It might not make sense always, but perhaps if it was a unique mini...

Thus far, the only Creator sets to come with minifigure have been the log cabin, hillside house, and lighthouse island.

It's a new trend in "house"-style Creator sets only thus far

Even the older house sets seemed to cater a bit to minis in scale though. Was just wondering if the Creator vehicles did so as well.

Am I wrong or are the Modular buildings technically in the creator line...If so they had minifigs as well. And the new Space shuttle also. So there have been a few besides the houses that have had them.

ok, Looks like the Shuttle is in the sculpture series, but I do believe the mods are in fact technically creator. Anyone know for sure because now I am second guessing myself here :-)

Shop @ Home has them listed in the creator theme.

The addition of the minifigures is new for this year, the first one being the log cabin. So far they have only been in the house/building sets. Notice that these sets are also smaller than they were in past years. The first couple of houses were pretty big: the Model House and Family Home. The word on the street is that they made them smaller and put in minifigures to make them more playable for kids. AFOLs like the bigger houses, but I guess they got a downgrade for the Lego target demographic.

Sonic boom can be adapted for minis pretty easily apparently, ditto cargo copter.

I don't consider the modulars part of the Creator line. They don't say Creator on the boxes, they don't come with alternate building instructions, and they use a wide range of LEGO pieces, rather then the more generalized limited subset, all of which are hallmarks of the Creator line.

S@H often cross-lists a sets in multiple "theme" lines on their website, do I don't consider that a great indicator of anything official.

Thanks! those were the sets I was wondering about. Would be kind of cool to have a Jet or copter to scale.

i'll side with doug on this. perhaps what threw you off was the father of the modular buildings, 10190 Market Street, did say "Factory" on its box.
