I'm culling as much of the 3,000 parts from my collection before going the LEGO or bricklink route, trying to save as much money as I can. I've never done this before, building a set from existing sets. It's equally frustrating like HELL, and equally satisfying getting to know part names, colours, not yet numbers. The bright side? My girls are now getting their parts together to rebuild a couple of the Friends sets that have scattered, so there's a lot of LEGO clinking at our house this long weekend.
