Hey everyone,

I'm currently looking to purchase via paypal Series 6 Roman Soldiers that are either sealed/unsealed that come as new i.e. with all accessories and baseplate, from within the UK.

If you have any spares then please PM when convenient, with the quantity that you have and the price you'd be willing to offer them at and I will reply asap.

Thanks!

Yes and thanks for the tip. Unfortunately the majority are available internationally and priced very very highly.

The Roman is the new Spartan. Just about every store is out of S6 now, and you can no longer go and feel for them and buy them a £2 (or £1). The situation is very different to even just six weeks ago. You'll have to be prepared to pay premium prices if you want to buy them now.

@CCC I've had quite a few responses and have purchased several from Brickset members for reasonable prices infact; by reasonable I mean more than £2, which I am quite prepared to pay and have been lower than Bricklink. I know I have to pay a premium and this was the reason for the thread, to inform any interested parties that I wish to purchase.

They actually are still available in certain stores throughout England I am pleased to say and I am just trying to finish off my collection for a MOC I am working on after clearing out those near to me.

BL prices seem crazy these days, but apparently someone paid £9.99 for one this month.

I'd actually hold back for now if you cannot get them for £4 or under. Series 10 has the Roman Commander in it. I think this has a different torso and legs to the S6 Roman (at least the early images did) and I hope the helmet is a different colour, but that's not too big a deal. It would also be nice to have a different colour shield, if not I'll be dying a load more black. It will always be possible to pull off the commander crest to make them regular infantry.

I decided to stop with the S6 romans, I've stopped at 80 plus 2 which I dyed helmets and shields black - I was going for 100 but I'll wait for the commander to see what they look like for infantry. The issue of this new one might also make the S6 price drop a little.

Wow that's quite a collection! Thanks for the tip, I'll hold back if I can't get them for a reasonable price then. : )

I'm hoping they skew the distribution like S9 towards the army builders. If so, they should be plentiful like the S9 knight. And hopefully that means cheaper!

I had a look again at the S10 thread with the mock-ups of the new characters. The torso and legs are different (if they are correct) but the helmet seems to be the same colour. The crest also appears to be removable, looking like a brickforge one. There was no new shield identified, so presumably it will be red again.

It sounds pretty encouraging that's for sure. May even be able to convert them into some elite infantry to bolster the ranks as well as turning the plume clockwise to denote different officer ranks.
