Getting Back into LEGO

Hi there, just joined the forum. I am 19 years old and haven't built with Lego for years... I picked up some bricks the other day and was distraught to find i was no longer a capable builder (I tends to think i was pretty good before). How did you guys get back into building?

    By building. Seriously.

The only way to learn again is by doing it. It is a bit like riding a bike, as you never forget. But you will find there are many new techniques now, with the invention of new bricks.

It is also an idea to download instructions from lego.com and "read" them to learn how lego does it.

If you can afford some of the larger Lego offerings like Modulars or Creator Expert or anything aimed at a high age level you can learn a lot by building those. Plus they all tend to be pretty awesome.

It just takes practice and you need to remember that different people have different skill levels. For me even at 24 i really don't have very good building skills. it looks like something that comes out the mind of a 7 year old with a lot of the stuff i moc(i don't moc much) but the major reason i putter around with moc's atm is a combo of stress relief and time killer.

I do want to improve my building skills but due to a lack of space for proper organizing, i can't really have a contained lego space.
