Free Elrond Capes - 6024597

I have an extra 7 Elrond Capes. As TLG gave these to me for free I fee I should do the same. I am willing to give these away free to someone who has over 7 as I would like to only ship them once. All I ask is that you pay for the shipping which should not be much.

I am in Canada, Eh! But ship worldwide.

Lego have been a bit crazy in the way they have handed these out. I asked for one online when I bought an Elrond and I didn't get a reply past the confirmation of receipt of my request. A couple of weeks later I placed a missing parts order and told the guy then, and he added one to my order. The day that turned up, a second packet turned up with another cloak in. I never received any communication about it.

The 'correct' cape is just a standard length dark blue cape, http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=3279&colorID=63 but quite pricey due to the rarity of previous figures with the cape.

Whether it's actually 'correct' is dependant on one's view of set image vs actual contents ie was it a artwork error, or contents error!

As soon as the TMNT-figure "Shredder" will get inventoried on BL you´ll be able to buy the Cape that TLG sends out as a "replacement" directly on BL! It´s the Dark Blue Cape with the kinda strange shape!

They are not the standard ones. The shape at the neck end is different due to the girly hair.

I know someone on bricklink is claiming that the standard cape for Elrond is correct, it is not the one the Lego send out.

^Interesting. I was just going of the artwork on the packaging where it looks like the standard shape cape. But I can see on the bricklink shredder entry that the cape is flatter to the back (kind of like the old style one-neck-hole capes).

I need one. Not sure if you'd want to throw it in an envelope and send one over to BC or not. Otherwise I will have to call LEGO when I have a few more things to add to it!

The correct number is 6024597 and that will get you the cape on the left hand side.
