What other iconic vehicles models should Lego make?

^ I wouldn't think they'd do a Golf. The Beetle and the Van are iconic. The golf, while being a longstanding VW is basically the Civic of VW and would be a pretty boring model. If it was requested by VW, they might do it as a limited retail set like the Boeing dreamliner set was.

I think the Checkered cab is an Icon, as it the Mini Cooper. Ferrari 275 probably is another.
    Lambo Countach.
    Ferrari F40
    Porsche 959.
68 Dodge Charger (I mean the real one, yknow the two door from the late 60's, and no not the Dukes of Hazard one or the 4 door abomination they sell now)
    65 Mustang
    69 Camaro
60's Jaguar E Type... although it would be curious to see how LEGO could handle that one without a ton of parts
50's Mercedes Gull wing (the model escapes me unfortunately)
Bugatti Veyron (since I believe VW owns Bugatti)
    Aston Martin DB5
Love the 70's AM Vantage as well

^^No, I think the Golf is in with quite a good chance. If they did a classic MK I or II version (especially if they did the GTI) I think it could be quite popular, not to mention very easy to make out of Lego (being rather angular). But I could be wrong.

KITT from Knight Rider with red light under the hood moving from side to side. Was it a Trans Am ?
McLaren F1 -> to fulfill my dream of owning one ;)

Porsche 911 is well renowned in all corners and would be great if the could get the curves right. Lego is already in with VW so a corporate sibling shouldn't be a problem for licensing.

    Orient Express .. YEEEESSS!!!

With Agatha Christie minifigs and a Cluedo game included.
    New part = lead pipe.

Cluedo style lead pipes are quite easy to make. Take a LBG bar, heat it in water and bend it a bit. I made a Cluedo moc a while back. The weapons are relatively easy if you use pistol instead of revolver, goblet instead of candle stick, spanner instead of wrench, etc. Rope and knife are easier still!

I'm going to revive this historic thread to see how (and if) the rumoured Top Gear sets might affect this. Any thoughts?

Is there any way to request from LEGO to reissue the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano from 2007: LEGO 8145 set

The cars with the most enduring and widespread appeal are the 'people's cars' from various countries. We've had the Beetle; so bring us a Model T,Mini, 2CV, Fiat 500 etc. All with a ton more charm than any Ferrari.

A bit of a long list but shows the scope for what can be done.

    Land Rover Defender
Lamborghini Diablo although I'll admit I'm biased and the Countach is obviously more iconic.
    Black cab
    Ferrari Testarossa
    Dodge Viper
80s Transit van(white with rust patches)
    Original Fiat 500
911 turbo (930 with whale tail)
    Jaguar XJ220.
    Mclaren F1
    Airbus A380
    SR71 Blackbird
    Vulcan bomber
    Lancaster bomber
    Spitfire
    Dreamliner (with requisite flames

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Lego already made a UCS-style Dreamliner model...

Nice! :) Although I'm pretty sure Boeing has now crossed you off their Christmas card list. On the bright side, you should receive one from AirBus.

I think with the amount I travel on Airbus' finest I'm owed a Christmas kiss from the CEO no matter how weird it would be.
