I think it's about time LEGO removed them from sets and started giving them away free via retailers as a "promo" item.
A guy in our lug used them to build a roof for a transit station. I don't have any pictures though...
I have well over 100 of them in various places.
I keep 4 always at hand (2 at home and 2 at the office). The rest of the non-sealed are in PAB cups.
