^ They were an official run of 800 total split in varying quantities between the 3 sandtroopers and a clone trooper if I recall.

TLG made them for members of the 501st for a convention. There were some left over after they were handed out and these were sold/raffled.

There has been quite a few customs since then - the torso decal is I suppose quite easy to copy however the pauldrons would be a different matter altogether.

Never heard of them befor @TheCableGuy , any more info on them?
  • TheCableGuyTheCableGuy Member Posts: 114
When I bought them there was an online article detailing the whole story behind them and the exact split of them - for the life of me I can't remember where it was.

    Off to google them now....

I guess it´s time to remove the Clone-Trooper Poly from any of the "most expensive Figures"list, it´s going to be a freebie in september :)
  • vitreolumvitreolum Member Posts: 1,406
I bet the robin poly will soon follow.

So, I don't know if this is the right place for this question or if has been asked before but here goes....
Are CMFs worth more if I leave them sealed? One collector at a trade show told me no. I thought I would ask the experts.
  • BoiseStateBoiseState Member Posts: 804
Not really. Maybe a small amount.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
It depends on what they are. Sealed zombies, spartans, romans, etc often sell for 20-30% more than unsealed. You can guarantee they are new if they are sealed, and some people collected sealed sets.

S5 fitness instructor, maybe less of a premium for having it sealed.
  • byucougsbyucougs Member Posts: 38
Why less for a sealed fitness instructor?

There's a joke in there somewhere, but I'm not touching it.

Less because she isn't as desirable as a Zombie or a Spartan. Series 5 was over produced compared to Series 1 and 2. There was a good chance you would get a Fitness Instructor because they were 4 to a box. Also, people aren't building armies of Fitness Instructors.

I keep all my CMF's sealed, although there was some talk about taking Mr. Gold out of his package to prove you had him.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
Yeah, just as she is not desirable, sealed or open, unless you are after a complete set.

Technically, I'm a Fitness Instructor (Personal Trainer) Are you saying that you wouldn't be overjoyed to have your very own Pitfall69 CMF???

I think I would be worth more than Mr. Gold. Definitely if I was chromed, eh @samiam391?
  • RennyRenny Member Posts: 1,145
^Do you really want people feeling you up ;)
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
Oh man. I actually forgot about that. At least I wouldn't have a light saber blade ;)

Do you wear a pink leotard, aqua leggings and a green headband? That is why the parts are so useless for MOCs.

  • DiggydoesDiggydoes Member Posts: 1,079
^how could these parts be useless, you can create a stop-motion video of any of the LMFAO-tunes with these parts ;)

    @Pitfall69 are you a Eunuch ;-)
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
^No. I have a "light saber blade" it is just not included as an accessory that is detached. This thread has taken a most unfortunate turn.

^ I didn't know that TLG made 1L light saber blades....;-)
  • byucougsbyucougs Member Posts: 38
I feel I should apologize for where this went. I will think about my questions for carefully in the future. :-)
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
Don't worry about it. It's all fun n games until someone's eye gets poked out with a light saber blade ;)

Anyway, we need to have some more lists. What would be the top non-licenced themed minifigures? Also, the top CMF's.
  • CapnRex101CapnRex101 Administrator Posts: 2,364
^ Top CMFs would have to be the Zombie (S1), the Spartan (S2) and the Roman Soldier (S6) I would have thought. The Clown (S1) is probably up there as well.

^ Series 1 Cheerleader usually seems to command a lot of money. She is often sought after.
  • LegobutterflyLegobutterfly Member Posts: 488
^ Not so much lately on ebay UK it seems, have seen some start at a fiver not sell at all and I picked one up a month or 2 ago for £2 with 3 other figures included too. Happy to admit it may have been a fluke but personally, I just don't think she is sells as well as she once did.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
I guess most of the Series 1 Minifigures command a premium since they didn't produce many.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432

I'm surprised at the price of the Jek 14 figs from the set.. You an almost just sell the figs and keep the jet. I hate the look of the set itself, but picked it up because I like all 4 figs. Not often I really like everyone.
  • morezonemorezone Member Posts: 207
Didn't know where to put this.
My latest acquisition. Nothing unique about the figs unfortunately.

    GothamConstructionCoSirKevbagssidersdd
  • The figs may not be unique but those cases are stunning.
May I ask where you acquired them?
  • morezonemorezone Member Posts: 207
From a member of the video game development team. Each should be limited to around 22.

The free Lego Store Employees give-a-way seems to be doing well on EBay. I see it doing better than Hoth Han. What do you think @y2josh ;)

^ if you look at the Lego Store Mini-Figs that actually sold, prices ranged from $9.99 to $50 US just a few days ago, and only one had sold at $50.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
^Ha. I was trying to be funny. If you remember, there was a bet made hat Hoth Han will do better than TC-14

Imagine if the Lego Store Employee were chromed. Mind blown.

To *bump* this underrated thread, has anyone noticed how "rare" the Rohan soldier from the Lotr Range has become? Now that Uruk-Army is EOL´ed there are only 29 sellers on BL with these Fellas in store! The highest quantity available is x9 for a lovely $11!
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
^ And not one of them in the UK!
  • roxioroxio Member Posts: 1,384
    ^Nice, I've got a stash of uruk army, £12 each tesco :)

Gladly i´ve built a small Rohan-Army before these became THAT expensive (have like 20 at hand)! Wish i´ve had stocked up on these a bit more :(

Me too. Too small a stash, but a stash nonetheless.

I also bought a few on BL for just over £3 in Nov/Dec. It's amazing how quick some things can go up once EOL'ed while others just sit at the same price.

Too bad the same cannot be said for #30211. I have 20 of those kicking around.

I do not think there have been too many rare mini-figs out lately other than the exclusives from SDCC. I would like there to be some sets that are made in limited edition style like the #41999 that include mini-figs.

Very true. Can anyone even tell me what this years NYTF exclusive was? Anyone? I haven't heard a word about it, and am not surprised considering what it is... I'm not even purchasing a single one this year, even though the price hasn't exceeded $500.

I don't even think @Huw gave it a post on the home page. I think LEGO may have caught onto the air of public outrage, and started dwindling down on its incredibly exclusive offerings.

And before anyone mentions the tin, none of those minifigures are exclusive ;o)

^ for the first time i have my doubts about a comic con giveaway now! What was the toy fair exclusive!?!
  • y2joshy2josh Member Posts: 1,996
^I didn't even realize they did an exclusive fig. The only thing I was aware of was the rather lame press kit.

Remember that this was a freebie poly with a newspaper in the UK, which has meant large numbers in circulation at very low cost.

Borrowing from my post on the set market value thread.

Minifigs from #6866. For me, Deadpool is going to be the main one to hold, with Wolverine being redone (although in a different version) and Magneto being crap.

I wonder how Captain America (#6865) will hold up to, as he is being redone (again in a different version).

Speaking from what ive been seeing #6865 is already being affected by the new release. .ive already had to lower my prices to reflect the new set out there in the wild..

^I don't understand why? People had to know that there was going to be another Captain America.

I think the new Captain America has a red version of Wolverines bike from the chopper set?

Its cool they are doing the other version of Wolverine. I have the comic covers so it will be cool to have one to match each style.
