Just don't make me angry. You wouldn't like it when I'm angry...oh man, there I do again ;)
I gave my six year daughter a TC-14 and the look on her face was worth more than the market value.
Will Mr golds value be based more on rarity or the finish? as is case for chrome minifigures
I think as he is not counted as part of the collection I can't see completists fighting over auctions and inflating his value.
Only 5000 are being made, so I think all or most mini figure collectors will be interested in this. Im a mini fig collector but Im not that into the CMF, I have a sealed Series 1 Zombie and a complete Series 10 and thats it but Im definitely gonna be looking to buy one of these off eBay when I can.
I guess you could run it through an airport scanner for proof if your lucky enough to work at one :D
Its not too hard to feel the pack and tell whats inside. I just did this with the Forest Maiden from S10. It was the last one I needed so when I was at TRU I felt through a couple of packs and sure enough, I found one and could tell by the sloped dress piece and by the bow and arrow. I even did a trade on here a few weeks ago and all the specific figures I traded for came still sealed in the pack.
You have to feel for the Minifigures in Series 1and 2 BTW. All you have to do is scan them.
They are more common then the SDCC figures, but I think they have a larger amount of collectors, not all will be found, and some will find their way into kids boxes.
I'm not a CMF collector, but am a completionist of the things I do collect. If I was a CMF collector, I would need a Mr. Gold to feel my collection is complete. I'm sure other completionsts would feel the same way.
To me the cost is almost unimportant, I know I will end up deciding I 'need' the Minifigure as I am a total completionist. If I was lucky enough to find one, so much the better, but I will shell out if necessary and I think there will be some competition for the 5000 Mr Golds out there...
And it keeps rising and rising...
A year or two ago, I would have guaranteed that it was going to plateau within a few months.
However, since the announcement of the new Star Wars movies, it will continue too slowly climb in price. Right now, in my opinion, it has no ceiling. However, whatever the ceiling may be, it's going to take its jolly time getting there.
Anyone know anything about this TMNT figure

Hope that answers your question? :o)
I'm still after one if you're willing to part with one at a decent price, can't get one over in merry England.
Mr. Gold started out at $1000+. As expected, this did not last. The last few seem to have gone for $850, $800, $760, $630. They should be sub $500 in the next week or so. Still much more than what I would pay.
What I'm aching for though is a Dark Bley torso. Can't believe this hasn't existed yet?
