It does indeed look genuine and assuming it is, fantastic!

It is interesting to note that this is the same seller who was selling Star Wars Minifigures a couple of months early a while ago. I wonder what his connection to the company is?

Wow, very nice find.. Looks genuine indeed. The Lest version of ironman (that looked like this one) was actually my favorite fig for a while.. Love the helmet.

Makes me laugh people buy these items for more early.

^seriously, why waste so much money when you can wait a couple months and have the entire set? I was hoping there would be a neck attachment for his gattling gun but I guess the head is so big there really isn't room for it.

Nice. I wonder how many more Iron Man suit variations will be made... There must be 10+ Batman suits. Love to see Iron Patriot or Iron Spiderman but I doubt those will made... comic con specials...

*Spoiler Alert* ^there was an Iron Patriot spy photo from the production of Iron Man 3 awhile back. Good chance it shows up in the film tie-in sets this May
  • GeddesGeddes Member Posts: 574
I hope so the ultrabuild iron patriot was never up to scratch

^^That's actually not Iron Patriot 'proper' in the film (wouldn't really make sense), but rather Rhodey in some type of 'ceremonial' and/or 'Uncle Sam' armor. Should still work as a passable Iron Patriot armor, though.

^oh ok, he was in spangledy paint so I just assumed that equalled Iron Patriot.

This seller is selling a Lego War Machine minifig. Seems like an authentic unreleased Lego minifig. Thoughts?

this seller usually sell minifigures before their actual realease.
    This is genuine.
but i guess you can wait a bit to get it in a set ;)
  • GoldchainsGoldchains Member Posts: 795
Pretty cool. I can certainly wait for it! That price is outrageous!
  • GeddesGeddes Member Posts: 574
Contacted the seller, very shady to say the least.... He doesn't have any other 2013 minifigs, but assured me he would have them soon. Lego Contacts apparently.

Iron Spiderman did appear in Ultimate Spiderman as well but probably too obscure for the general audience.

I wonder if that is a complete War Machine... I would have hoped for more accessories like a shoulder turret or rocket launchers. But given the oversized helmet that probably is not feasible.

if, as some listed above, this person has sold Lego minifigs before they are available in the wild, then there is always a possibility that (assuming connections within Lego) that this person might have a model that is pre-production.

Might some people be paying large sums in the chance for a variant of the future minifig? I've known people in other lines of toy collecting who pay outrageous sums of money for "concept" toys.

Has anybody else noticed the picture change? And more importantly the minifigure itself is different. What's going on with this...
  • vwong19vwong19 Member Posts: 1,191
Did it? I didn't save the original posted image.
  • SpaceCakeSpaceCake Member Posts: 291
The original clearly had a white star on the camera-left leg. And the torso printing was not symmetrical, as it now appears to be.

    :/

Looking at the image still posted on FBTB
    http://www.fbtb.net/

The two images look about the same. I still see the white star on the right leg although a shadow is cast on it. Both are asymetric. I don't think these are variants or prototypes....

Yeah, now you mention it I see the star if I use the zoom function.

Just weirded out a bit, I guess.

    :)

That is an awesome minifig... he has actually sold 4 so far. Craziness.

I'm looking forward to picking one up.. when it comes out.
