Lego 5767 Cool Cruiser piece-count discrepancy?

Just noticed this while browsing around on Ebay. Saw one version that has 556 pieces:

Then I saw another version that has 621 pieces:

Can anyone shed any light on this? I picked these 2 listings as the images seem to be of the actual sets in hand. That would presumably rule out the possibility of one of the images being a pre-release design. So then why is there a 65 piece discrepancy in what seems to be 2 versions of this set??

I remember reading that there was some issue with this set that delayed its release. Apparently in Australia the parts from the original sets were given to a LUG: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57565

I wonder if one of the pictures is from the original release, and the other from after the issue was resolved?
