    First post.
I'm a Program Manager in the Supply Chain division of a major Aerospace company here in Arizona. I help Business Units get and then spend their money.
I work from home mostly, so I get to play with my 2 boys and our (mostly mine) Lego sets.
I've got a great wife who doesn't complain about the money I spend on the hobby. She's just glad I have a safe and (relatively) inexpensive hobby!

I start in August as a field engineer for Schlumberger. Previous jobs have included an internship with Yaskawa and some summer camps for teens.
What find of field engineer for Schlumberger?

I work as an MWD Engineer for Weatherford International. Running tools with sensors in them to drill directional wells.

Hey, I'm an MWD Engineer, too! Yep, your description of the job fits mine as well. Don't have much time to enjoy my Lego collection, but it is still growing and with the schedule I now have, I usually get about 2 weeks a month to enjoy them at home.

That's great! Our field is a small one so it's interesting to see someone that's also a Lego fan!

It's always funny in the oil field to tell someone you collect Lego. But, the oil field is a great way to fund a Lego addiction.

The thread on reselling has made me curious about more of the board members' day jobs and side jobs!

So bumping this with a post of my own...

I also work in IT, and have since I was a teenager. I've taken the occasional gig as a violinist, though, especially when I was younger.

I am an undergrad student currently. After high school I tried uni for a bit and it just didn't work out, so I worked for a long time - until the company I worked for laid me off, essentially. So I packed up and moved to the UK to complete a degree in international business.

One thing that I miss about working is the ability to buy things for myself once in awhile and not worry about it so much! LOL.

Currently i am on paternity leave, two more weeks.

I work on type design for non-roman scripts (and end up doing all sorts of other computery things too) for a non-profit in Cameroon. Next to zero Lego in this country so I find myself spending more and more time on Brickset reading about what the rest of you are building

I was a IT Projects Manager for a bank in the U.S. I had a accident which put me out of work for the last 13yrs. I got back into lego after i had been off work for 3yrs or so. I was sinking into depression, i had to find something to do with my time. I ramdomley picked up the batcave(the old set) and never looked back. My misses has had to put up with hell from me. But she's now starting to build. LOTR sets make her... ... fun. hehe Katie's a Film Editor.

Mechanical Engineer by degree, I've worked in the Medical Device industry for 15+ years. I used to work on automated assembly equipment for plastic components, now I work with Risk Management for medical devices (mostly consumables/disposables).

I've got to give LEGO some credit for my choice of profession; I have to believe that putting together and taking apart sets and MOCs as a kid helped inspire the engineering creativeness later on.

Transport supervisor for a same-day courier company -I'm the one who gets jobs off the customers and organises the drivers to collect and deliver the freight. Interesting job - no 2 days are ever the same. It's amazing though reading through this thread and seeing all the different jobs that people do.

Not a job as such, but I'm a full time carer for my fiancées 17yr old autistic son. He's very high functioning on the autistic spectrum ( ADHD and Aspergers syndrome ) and is going to college, which means I get to build Lego whilst he's at college.

Been following this thread on and off for ages and just realised I hadn't posted on it! Anyway, I am a childrens mental health nurse. Most of the children I look after think they are too old for lego though, much as I might try and convince them that there is no such thing as "too old"!

I do online security testing (hacking into some of the world's largest banks, financial institutions, etc). This is what gets me my Lego spending money.

I also do volunteer work for St John Ambulance, providing advanced first aid at various events. If all goes to plan, I should become an ETA (emergency transport attendant) soon.
