Onnecting Jabba's Palace and the Rancor Pit

I picked up my Jabba's Palace on BF and had fun putting it together. I noticed an issue however. The back side of Jabba's lair can be openned to reveal a small stove and hiding place. Looking at the placement of the holes in the base for the Rancor Pit columns I beleive this function will not be possible.
I am looking to create an expanded MOC Palace once the Rancor Pit is out and thought that looked odd. Anyone else?
