Nine of the new City sets are on toysrus.com now. Mark-ups range from $1 to $5. All qualify for BOGO. I got some with the TRU Groupon the other day which actually made it a deal - tow truck and cement truck marked up $2 each. With BOGO $33; with Groupon out of pocket cost was only $23 bucks for the pair.

Yes, I know Ninjago was excluded.....but they also didn't have a clue there was even a B1G1 50% sale going on this week...and it's Friday!

The markup at the Times Square location made me pass on the deal. I figured I'd at least get two of the cheaper sets but the selection wasn't quite what I was hoping for on the cheap ones. Almost buckled in and bought 2 X-Wings but I had to resist!

Wahey says my 2xDAs have shipped from TRU. The email said 2 x shipments which was a surprise as I ordered together. I just hope they end up intact and not a pile of wet squashed cardboard packets :(

^Same thing on the 2xIS I ordered, 2 x shipments. Keeping my fingers crossed they don't get banged up in transit.

^Good luck with the IS arriving mint. I have three set back, and only one is in very good shape. The box is just too small for the contents.

That's interesting. I think it's supposed to be $20 off $100. And that's on ALL Lego sets, except Ninjago, Technic, and a bunch of other sets they don't think the deal should apply to.

@Johnnyfinlandia, I placed 2 orders, received one in perfect condition. The second order had 6 items, 5 in store pick up and one was shipped, also in perfect condition.

Most of my TRU orders arrive nicely. Recently received Airport set and they were all mint condition. I think I live close from where it's shipped.

Thanks. I saw that ad. Not sure if that set will go up very much. I've gotten some sets at 'rock bottom' prices (70% off RRP) and still didn't make much off of them.

Flo's V8 Cafe is an example. As I look over at the last 2 I have yet to sell, and when I do I will make virtually nothing off of them.

Did you get the NinjaGo bank with the 3 trucks? It will resell for how much, ya think?

^ oh, I thought Ninjago bank was out of stock and no longer available for promotion.. I think I read it somewhere.. Also I totally forgot about it when I checked out.

Not sure whether TRU truck will perform well or not.. briefly checked ebay and they seem to sell well. At least I won't lose money :)

@y2josh Got my 2 x IS from TRU BOGO, one was in mint condition, the other only had a minor amount of "crush" on one corner, overall way better condition then what I expected.

Got my 8043. 2 sets in one box with airbags. Not totally trashed but the front of the box are crushed. Calling TRU.

I ended up getting 2 sets from the deal. The Harbour set and the Alien Conquest HQ Defense set. Harbour set was $5 less than retail and the Alien conquest was the suggested retail. Not too bad. My sons love the Harbour set and I've gotten into the Alien Conquest lately.

I haven't seen this brought up on any of the threads yet, but in the US Wendy's fast food chain is offering a $10 off coupon to TRU with the purchase of a kids meal. I'm guessing its in-store only, but it likely stacks with other discounts (like the $25 off purchase of $100 or more regular price).

I just had a few Diagon Alley shipments canceled due to "lack of stock" from TRU.

Of course, since I got those BOGO50%, I would not be shocked if they do have stock and simply decided to cancel anyway. :(
