Future minifigure series possible lineup?

AanchirAanchir Member Posts: 3,014
Hey there. Just was looking around in Brickset's parts database for a few minutes earlier, and the minutes turned into hours, and long story short I have found enough unreleased parts to identify at least 16 unreleased minifigures that could very easily be a future minifigure series:

Sailor
Colonial Governor
Honeybee Suit Guy
Medusa
Sky Diver
Painter (like a house painter, not an artist)
Pierrot
Paintball Player
Native American (probably meant to look Aztec? Lots of gold; lots of body paint)
Valley Girl
Nerd Girl
Roman Officer
Old Man
Valkyrie? (some type of historical/mythological female fig)
Punk/Biker
Tin Soldier

And finally, here's a Eurobricks post where I have links to all the individual pages.

On a side note, while I was making this post, my twin brother pointed out that another Eurobricks member found another fig: a baseball catcher in an "away" uniform. That kind of kills any chances of these being one complete series, but they still could be multiple series. My EB post is edited to include this fig.

I'm in love with the baseball player. I will easily need 30 or so to outfit my other ball players with gloves.

    Roman officer would be sweet!

@aanchir you found Rex Fury, the antagonist of Lego City Undercover... Maybe he's in the 60009 set that's still under wraps, but possibly previewed in the Club Magazine... The Sea Captain might be from the game/related too

    http://www.brickset.com/parts/?part=6031381 & http://www.brickset.com/parts/?part=6031251 Rex Fury http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Rex_Fury
Sea Captain is in the game trailers prominently too....

There's a pic of Chase McCain in front of a dark bg of with 60009 on the license plate in the last club magazine http://www.flickr.com/photos/murphquake/8143800264/

Do you have a mock up of the Roman Officer? Or just the part numbers?
  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,075
There's an undocumented report that shows all parts in he database that are not in any set (yet) which might be of interest http://www.brickset.com/parts/new.

The librarian looks exactly like Amy Farrah Fowler from The Big Bang Theory! :D

If she is a librarian, I'm not quite sure why she has those chemical flasks - anyway, she's awesome! :)

While the name librarian doesn't fit, I would sure hope that a minfig girl that appears to like science/chemistry would NOT be called nerd girl. :-(
"Scientist" listed in set 11, seems to be a far more appropriate fit name.

I really like her, but the continual stereotype that if you are female and like science/math you must wear glasses, is always frustrating. That hair piece, though... I think my girls would need several of her for the hair and flask alone.
  • carlqcarlq Member Posts: 792
I'm delighted with the "nerd girl" - I've been looking for a female face with large glasses to complete a lady scientist I've been planning for ages!

I matched the minifigure parts using guesswork... now that we have the series 10 and 11 lists, I think we can safely conclude that the flasks do not belong to the "nerd girl" (which I called her without any intent of stereotyping anyone-- she just seemed, with regard to fashion at any rate, to be the female equivalent to the computer programmer who I think we all agree looks somewhat nerdy). The flasks are probably from the Series 11 Scientist, while the other parts from that fig belong to the Librarian.

Don't take any of the names I used as official; they were just my way of summing up the "look" that each fig seemed to be going for. I've edited my Eurobricks post to be more consistent with the official lists we've heard and with suggestions from Brickset and Eurobricks members

On a side note, since the Toy Soldier doesn't seem to appear in either Series 10 or Series 11, it seems likely to me that he might be the Minifigures Character Encyclopedia's exclusive fig.

Yup. Don't get me wrong. I really, really like her. We will need several of her for the kids. Her hair, the color choices, the flasks... I love almost everything about her. It would just be nice to have the occasional scientist portrayed without glasses.

Medusa and the toy solider, will be HUGE must haves for us. The trendy solider girl is cool. We will need several diva's for that hair piece.
Series 11, if that holds, will have a very large number that we will want.

Nah, that's the magic wand from the Series 1 Magician. The only reason it is listed under "parts not in any sets" is that Series 1 does not have a replacement parts inventory on service.LEGO.com.

Booo these look rubbish! Or maybe I just hate CGI images, they may look better in plastic.

I think the hawk woman and native American may have the wrong accessories as his name seems to be 'tomahawk warrior' or similar.

I don't believe those legs are the 'official' ones.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
Thanks for posting the roman commander. Not sure what I think. It's nice to get another one but how many commanders does an army need. In a way I hope it is similar to s6 with the shield at least then you can dump the crest and make a regular soldier. So the torso is slightly different but it can be a different regiment. I'd love the shield to be black. No more rit dye.

I hope the medusa is going to continue with more mythology.

I also like that black ruff on the clown. And the old man.

I've just tidied up data for parts that are included in CMFs, and double checked what's available at LEGO.com. Here's a summary:

    8683 Series 1 not available
8684 Series 2 yes, quantities not correct, given for whole box
8803 Series 3 yes, quantities not correct, given for whole box
8804 Series 4 yes, quantities correct for a set of 16
8805 Series 5 yes, quantities correct for a set of 16
8827 Series 6 yes but no quantities
    8831 Series 7 no
8833 Series 8 yes but no quantities
8909 Team GB yes but no quantities and not all parts

I've also attributed them to the 'random bag' rather than the first minifig in the set.

Hawk soldier girl - I like her legs. Shame she has boobs on the torso. Would be good for updating my home made Flash Gordon characters.

I also like the sea gull, and the sea captain.

Someone needs to tell the painter / decorator that his roller won't work. It looks like just the frame. I wonder if there will be a cylinder / round brick for the roller head.

Probably just a generic 1x1 round brick. It might not even be in a new color-- the spots on his face and outfit make it look like his paint roller might just be Medium Azure like in the Friends sets.

    Yeti
    Evil Mech
    Welder
    Lady Robot
    Scientist

SPOILER ALERT! Don't click the link if you don't want to see them.

    I've just seen this:

    http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/ajdken2010/Graduate-travel/062.jpg

    Yeti looks very cool :-)
The welder also looks great. The scientist, not as good as the long coat cuusoo one, but it'll do. It's a bit of the shame they've given her curves. Evil Mech ... I'll pass. Same as the female robot.

^^ Just seen the pic myself. Series 11 is already looking better than Series 10 to me!
But I really don't like what they've done to the S6 Clockwork Robot to make it 'female' though. It just looks a bit, well, odd. (I'm a female AFOL, too)
Besides, I am really liking the look of the other four. Wonder what the rest of the series will look like?

I'm not so sure about the female robot. My daughter will love it in a few years, so I'll probably get some for her and she can pair them up like this guy has ...

    http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5866994

The male robot should probably have his hands replaced with (medium) blue ones now or medium azure if they come out. I already have a slightly customised series of them with different coloured hands.

What could possibly be wrong? Apart from the lipstick (on a robot?), the over the top eyebrows, the blusher on the cheeks and the dials strategically placed to give her cleavage? :-)

Yes, possibly. They would be a new colour for hands, wouldn't they?

Am I the only one who thinks the robot is fun? The only thing I don't like about her is the legs. She should wear a thong, not a skirt.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
Yes, she is. I'd have preferred her without the eye brows and blusher, and probably with similar legs to the male robot. She is a bit too over the top for me, but I think little girls (and maybe boys) will like her.

Yes, it would complete another monochrome fig (if you're not averse to wiping, or are lucky to pick up the plain parts from a seller in Germany who sources them somehow).

Liking the yeti. The ice lolly is a nice touch. Others look a bit standard (white mech, black mech etc) but the welder's torch is a nice looking accessory. Who is the photographer?

I'm not sure who the photographer is, but there is a brickset user (not forum user) with the same name. The location - is it a roof of a factory?
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 3,908
^ His other photos show a Hong Kong event, which would tie-in the location with the usual early leaks. But these don't seem like attempts at leaking, more like he genuinely got his hands on them early. I guess just not necessarily from genuine sources.

I would have preferred a female android rather than changing the gender of the Series 1 Robot. I would love a female Ninja like Jinx from G.I. Joe.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
We need a Baseball Catcher and a Hockey Goalie. You could use the Goalie mask to make a Jason Vorhees type minifigure.
