@KingAlanI The only minifigure I got in the box was the bottom half of BB8. Missing the whole AA battery. It appears the first couple of bags were missing. I started with the wings, then back tracked through the remaining parts and made it all the way back to step 30. I'll try to take some pics tonight.

Lor San Tekka and Flametrooper were bag 1, Poe and BB8 were bag 4. Missing any other parts from bag 4?

Had a few hours to burn so decided to catch up on the last 900 odd posts on the thread!  So nice to see so much love for my personal favourite 'most underrated set' #70708 Hive Crawler.  My 10 year old worked out over Christmas Holidays that the catapult has enough grunt to lob a large (and heavy) enough projectile from around a metre away that can derail most Lego trains - we must have spent three whole days playing 'Run the gauntlet'.  Apparently his project for next holidays will be mounting a couple of train motors into it to more effectively attack Dads trains!

Pics of my #75149 build, on hold while I track down parts.

despite having seen it multiple times already, this set still freaks out my daughter (though she doesn't jump anymore like the 1st time she saw it move).
    epic win.

and I'm working on the ferris wheel. done bag 1 and a third of bag 4. now that's a big base and the technic functions were kind of complex compared to what I usually build.

Not right off the bat...eventually, at $199.99 I need to plan that properly.  Being a fan of the Classic stuff this is a bit off the beaten path but I love the minifigures and I think it will be nice to have a "display" only ship.

Yes, the are only missing the extra items. Bought them from a collector so they are in very good condition as well.

I didn't expect the turntable where the door of the café is. I thought they had diagonal door frames.
  • ecmo47ecmo47 Member Posts: 2,101
Diagonal door frame is on the bakery (right) side. The coffee shop use the 2x2 turntable to make a standard frame 45 degrees. No reason I can see for different techniques on the two different buildings.

The way the sign is attached over the door frame and steps are attached inside and outside the door makes a straight door frame a bit more convenient for this entrance. The set does use diagonal door frames elsewhere, though.

Hulk has a girlfriend. Also put together a Wookiee (am I spelling that right?) Gunship. It's from Rebels so I have no idea about it, but it was fun. Stickers were difficult, but waddya gonna do?

I really liked putting together the Black Widow. I put together the Beauty and the Beast ones too but haven't shot them. They fly together fast. Love the printed pieces...I dunno, that line has grown on me really quick. I hope it goes deep. I wish there was a way they would re-issue those SDCC characters. I don't begrudge anyone who sells on secondary market (clearly) I just want those guys.

I like to have 4 studs wide cars in my city and #3177 small car was just perfect for me. Just a bit boring. So I built a couple of others in different colours which I present here on the film set of #853650 Batman Moviemaker. And yes: that green vehicle mudguard 2x4 costs a small fortune!

Its been a modular bonanza for me lately.  #10243 was completed last weekend, a modular-scale coffee shop & pocket park (MOD/MOC of #31036/#60097/#60134) wrapped up on Thursday/Friday, and then #10246 on Saturday.

The days to come will see #10255 and #10251 to complete my current-release modular collection.

A jester minifig for my medieval collection. Was sorting #40153 Birthday Table Decoration when the idea struck me. That set includes hat, head, and torso but no legs. I pulled plain red legs from my spares. Put it with the King ( #70327 ) and Queen (S15).

@dspiegel the one on the right looks like #75173. #7110 Landspeeder, the old version, is something I remember from my kid collection, and I still have it mostly assembled.

Often too busy working with LEGO to play with it. Needed to pull some parts from #60150 Pizza Van. Fortunately the parts were decorative (so I didn't need to build around them) and 1 was an extra. They were in bag 1, and I finished the bag. I put the extras in the same bag as those from #41311 Heartlake Pizzeria and marked it Leftover Pizza.

Finished 60150. Wasn't going to leave a half built set kicking around (took me too long to finish 75149 X-Wing and still haven't finished Brick Bank which I started before that)
I like the yellow and dark red color scheme.
I wish there had been a driver along with the chef. I grabbed one of my old minifigures. The back of the driver's compartment didn't leave enough room for a hairpiece. Hair and helmet may be realistic but leaves one sitting around; this was also a problem with #41092 Stephanie's Pizzeria.
The contents of the kitchen are interesting parts but seem kind of random.
Don't like it as much as 41311 but still not bad.

Finished more Brickheadz. Ordered the POTC ones, and also parts from Bricklink to try a couple of MOCs. Did a single shot of Joker in addition to the paired photo just to illustrate how much I loved his hair. Fun to build, fun to look at. Gotta finish up Cap and Iron Man. I also left the inner ears off of Batman. He looked odd (that's an oxymoron I know) with them on.

Drew some inspiration from an older @TyresOFlaherty
post with an unopened polybag build on #30496. It was fun but damn does that plastic sound get annoying real quick. I almost feel like returning it back to the store like that haha.

  • DeeC2_JoshDeeC2_Josh Member Posts: 64
@TyresOFlaherty I used a small paper clip to hold it in the corner due to it always getting in the way. The bag looks like it's been thru hell tho..

Had another spare few hours over a couple of evenings to continue with Assembly Square.

Settled in with a bit of iPlayer and a good single malt and tore open bag 2s. Two hours later and the ground floor on the right hand side was complete. The cake shop is great with the vertical shutter sections making bay windows.

Then last night I did another couple of hours on bag 3s. Total build time is now around 5½hrs and the ground floor is complete.

Very impressive especially that single malt!!

I gotta say I really enjoy the additional challenge of mixing all the pieces together. Makes the fun building experience last for even more time!
would you do that with 5k+ part builds, too? :P

meant the all bags mixed, even on unnumbered things i keep my 1 bag 1 box rule to keep at least some sorting. Otherwise parts hide too well

Found #70809 at the thrift store for $30 a couple of months back, open box was only missing the Ma Cop and Dad Cop minifigures. Finally got it built last night. I was a little disappointed that they did not include a second torso and head for President/Lord Business to go with the "normal" legs and hair, but I'm sure I can find reasonably close substitutes among my mis-matched minifigures.
