Lor San Tekka and Flametrooper were bag 1, Poe and BB8 were bag 4. Missing any other parts from bag 4?
epic win.
and I'm working on the ferris wheel. done bag 1 and a third of bag 4. now that's a big base and the technic functions were kind of complex compared to what I usually build.
Its big, I mean really big and heavy. Another rubbish long day at work yesterday meant no building, so this morning after bacon sarnies we cut the seals an started.
All the bag 1's were tipped onto the sorting tray and with assistance from my little helper we began.
Just under two hours later and we finished bag 1s. I really love the look of the modulars at this stage, all the tiles down, wall lines started, you really get a feel for where everything is going.
I like to take my time building, so thats it for today, we're off to a local LEGO exhibition tomorrow, but we might get another hour in before I go away again next week.
I really liked putting together the Black Widow. I put together the Beauty and the Beast ones too but haven't shot them. They fly together fast. Love the printed pieces...I dunno, that line has grown on me really quick. I hope it goes deep. I wish there was a way they would re-issue those SDCC characters. I don't begrudge anyone who sells on secondary market (clearly) I just want those guys.
The days to come will see #10255 and #10251 to complete my current-release modular collection.
@dspiegel the one on the right looks like #75173. #7110 Landspeeder, the old version, is something I remember from my kid collection, and I still have it mostly assembled.
actually the 2 milanos seem to offer similar value per euro spent.
I like the yellow and dark red color scheme.
I wish there had been a driver along with the chef. I grabbed one of my old minifigures. The back of the driver's compartment didn't leave enough room for a hairpiece. Hair and helmet may be realistic but leaves one sitting around; this was also a problem with #41092 Stephanie's Pizzeria.
The contents of the kitchen are interesting parts but seem kind of random.
Don't like it as much as 41311 but still not bad.
post with an unopened polybag build on #30496. It was fun but damn does that plastic sound get annoying real quick. I almost feel like returning it back to the store like that haha.
Settled in with a bit of iPlayer and a good single malt and tore open bag 2s. Two hours later and the ground floor on the right hand side was complete. The cake shop is great with the vertical shutter sections making bay windows.
Then last night I did another couple of hours on bag 3s. Total build time is now around 5½hrs and the ground floor is complete.
Just for @piratemania7 once I'd finished the Peroni (it was Italian night for tea!) it was onto a nice 12yr old Balvenie Doublewood from my new Stormtrooper Helmet decanter! And bag 4s on the tray.
The dentist and the photography studio are complete. Some nice furniture in the dentist and I love the old fashioned camera next door.
Up to 7½hrs building now.
Rebelling against the system.
I gotta say I really enjoy the additional challenge of mixing all the pieces together. Makes the fun building experience last for even more time!
I hope you got enough space... and be careful at the tail, ther eare a few spots where you can SNAFU when not being careful :)
Looking forward for the mini beetle promo this weekend.
