And the treads? Crap.
A few random pieces built over the last few...still trying to clear my photo queue. And the taste of vomit from my mouth. Good rule if you're an American. Don't build LEGO and watch a presidential press conference at same time. Makes you feel icky anyway...but you also start making bad associative links.
I'm loving the Nexo Knights stuff. Really digging it. Also put together some City stuff I had in the pipe.
That plane really REALLY needs stickerage. Just wasn't in the mood.
AAAND lastly built this over the weekend just forgot to put it up. I was sick then and not doing a lot of Internet over the weekend. I think it was the weekend. The days they do bleed together in winter. Oy.
WAUGH!
I have not seen Season 3 yet (please, no spoilers!) so I do not know how this Phantom came to be, but it is a nice little build and the stickers do bring it to life.
Some people have been wondering how this version of the Phantom plays with #75053 The Ghost; short answer: not well.
Here are some pictures for comparison:
(It seems that Thrawn has a really good sense of balance!)
So last night I built #75106 Imperial Assault Carrier and with that all 2014-2015 sets are built. Initially, when it came out, I was not interested in the carrier; ended up getting it on sale to complete the collection. Now that I put it together, I really like it. It was a fun built, nice play features, and quiet good looking in person :-)
Next, 2016 sets. #75141 Kanan's Speeder Bike was built last year, so I will go in order and build #75150 Vader's TIE Advanced vs. A-Wing Stafighter next, but I am really looking forward to put together #75157 Captain Rex's AT-TE... looks a really fun build and a nice display piece.
I am pleased to announce my most complicated and rewarding build, the Lykan Hypersport.

Some of my main goals for this build were to create as many realistic functions possible to the real car while maintaining a cosmetically appealing bodywork.
The curves and features on this car are par to none in regards to bodywork difficulty and functions. It all began with the framework and a 4 speed manual transmission.
The rear suspension, (horizontal coil over) was beyond me as to how I could implement it with Lego. I asked Dugald and 5 minutes later he had a solution.
We ended up using that same suspension for the build. The 4 speed transmission and rear suspension was build with a lot of help from him. I bumped a ton of ideas his way in regards to proper proportion and it really helped speed up this build.
Once the ground work was laid out, it was time for the functions. I absolutely had to motorize the Lykan doors, to the same extent of the real car.
This beast has working lights, servo for steering, 2xl motors for drive, 1 m-motor for doors, 1 m-motor for rear wing, working twin turbo Flat 6 with fan. The front hood has an original latch system I designed to open the same amount as the real car. The rear engine cover was designed to have similar appearance to the real car and I found the grey flags to have the right shape and size.
Everything opens like the real car
The rear wing tilts and raises.
Inspiration...
That's a wrap. I'm incredibly jealous of the folks that have three times as many slopes as what I bricklinked just to get this put together. Lots of fun for me and my kids... more for them now that I'm out of the way ;)
Can you guess who it is yet? :P
In addition to that one, earlier on I thought to myself "huh, I wonder if the MLP pony design would translate well to BrickHeadz form?" So I tried it and...
the answer is no

bag 3 is ready to go and Jestro need's his Tea 1st thing after getting out of bed!
next up bag 4, and Jestro need's his bath. he so loves his Mr froggy! also look's like the knights are having a powwow.

so the last bag is here, bag 8, and it look like Axl is after Lance and he is doing a runner!
the build is finished and it looks awesome.
and it big so for now it will stay on the table!
had a lot of fun building this.
i do like Nexo Knights and am looking forward to this years BIG set!
I like the little things like what the minifig's carrying in bag 1 making it self known at the end of the bag. I thought the gold rod and the beanie made him a robber/thug of some kind but I was wrong. The feathers had me completely stumped.
The detail in the interior builds is again great and being relatively new to advanced builds like this had me admiring just what is possible to build when you have the right pieces.
One thing I did do which I read some people do here was align the LEGO lettering on the top of the studs on the pieces that you can, certainly made the build longer but I may just have to continue to do so on all my builds.
Now I just have to find time for the upper floors.
Then I thought that is genius, same as the gold rod, with the set name being Detectives office I thought the fig holding that was some kind of bad boy, little did I know he was going to play pub sports.
Looking forward to finding out why there is pastry in a barrel under a walkway when I finish the build.
When I opened the box I didn't know what the interior was like until I built it, that is why I'm saying it is a great build as all the small parts make up a good set.
The fact I didn't explain it so clearly in my first post was hoping to keep some suprise for others who hadn't built it yet and are as not so clever as me.
he got holidays now and i let him into my lego-cave 5 hours agoe before heading back to work! told him the modulars are taboo! well ill see in some minutes...
;)
