Since a few of you mentioned the Hive Crawler I've decided I have to acquire it. And now I'm looking at the awesome canopy shape on the Galactic Titan and... damn it, I've always had such a weakness for cool canopies...
The shape is kinda misleading. I found the build to be less satisfying than the Vermin Vaporizer actually and the Bug Obliterator my son has one that seems cooler I won't know til I build my own. The under structure of Titan feels, un-titanic to me. I can take some more photos if you like, but honestly it only looks good, to me, together. When it separates? Um...

    And the treads? Crap.

Hmmm, maybe one of those things where the pieces are too model-specific... glad to be warned!

^ So your going to cut or drill all the "drop-through" holes in the base-plate? Please post some pictures when you done.
Actually I'm going to have it like the ideas maze where you can just leave places with no tiles to trap the ball so I'm not restricted to one layout

Working on the second iteration of my entry for the February build contest. My first attempt was a mess so I scrapped it and started with a new idea.
  • blogzillyblogzilly Member Posts: 598

A few random pieces built over the last few...still trying to clear my photo queue. And the taste of vomit from my mouth. Good rule if you're an American. Don't build LEGO and watch a presidential press conference at same time. Makes you feel icky anyway...but you also start making bad associative links.

I'm loving the Nexo Knights stuff. Really digging it. Also put together some City stuff I had in the pipe.

That plane really REALLY needs stickerage. Just wasn't in the mood.

AAAND lastly built this over the weekend just forgot to put it up. I was sick then and not doing a lot of Internet over the weekend. I think it was the weekend. The days they do bleed together in winter. Oy.

    WAUGH!

No maze on it yet but it's ready to go. $2 wooden maze with a $5 off-brand base. Didn't want to cut up a real Lego baseplate!

Built #75170 The Phantom a couple of days ago. Nice little build and, of course, the G.A. Thrawn minifigure is just awesome, and kudos to the Kanan minifigure as well.

I have not seen Season 3 yet (please, no spoilers!) so I do not know how this Phantom came to be, but it is a nice little build and the stickers do bring it to life.

Some people have been wondering how this version of the Phantom plays with #75053 The Ghost; short answer: not well.

Here are some pictures for comparison:

(It seems that Thrawn has a really good sense of balance!)

Been sorting through a bunch of mixed Lego I bought a few weeks ago. So far I've managed to build 70505 Temple of Light and 70724 NinjaCopter. There seems to be most of the parts for 9448 Samurai Mech as well. I've also managed to sort out a bit over 1000 of the 1300+ pieces needed for 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer, the rest I'll have to get from BrickLink.

^that is intense! I just finished the Porsche I started back in December. At this rate, I will only manage to build everything I want in retirement.

Into part 6 of Assembly Square - I might finish it over the weekend. Good fun, despite knocking my tray of bricks onto the floor, twice. One or two small parts are now missing.

After building #75170 The Phantom earlier this week, I decided to build my Star Wars Rebels backlog (I have all sets released so far, sans exclusives).

So last night I built #75106 Imperial Assault Carrier and with that all 2014-2015 sets are built. Initially, when it came out, I was not interested in the carrier; ended up getting it on sale to complete the collection. Now that I put it together, I really like it. It was a fun built, nice play features, and quiet good looking in person :-)

Next, 2016 sets. #75141 Kanan's Speeder Bike was built last year, so I will go in order and build #75150 Vader's TIE Advanced vs. A-Wing Stafighter next, but I am really looking forward to put together #75157 Captain Rex's AT-TE... looks a really fun build and a nice display piece.

I could do some more interior detailing, but I'm done (for now) on my XL version of the Assemble Square. It's 16 studs longer, 4 for the bakery and 6 each for the florist and coffee shop. The top three floors of the bakery are the AFOL family apartment with the top floor as a dedicated Lego room!

Wow that looks so cool. I have assembly square here in the box, going to build it next week. But looking at this I might have to steal your idea and expand it as well...

YES! Here's the finished render wot I just uploaded on Flickr:

In addition to that one, earlier on I thought to myself "huh, I wonder if the MLP pony design would translate well to BrickHeadz form?" So I tried it and...

    the answer is no

    no it doesn't

Started building #10246 Detectives Office and got through bag 1 and 2 being the pavement and 1st floor, this is my 1st modular and is great and a really fun build.
I like the little things like what the minifig's carrying in bag 1 making it self known at the end of the bag. I thought the gold rod and the beanie made him a robber/thug of some kind but I was wrong. The feathers had me completely stumped.
The detail in the interior builds is again great and being relatively new to advanced builds like this had me admiring just what is possible to build when you have the right pieces.
One thing I did do which I read some people do here was align the LEGO lettering on the top of the studs on the pieces that you can, certainly made the build longer but I may just have to continue to do so on all my builds.
Now I just have to find time for the upper floors.

^The feathers are supposed to represent darts in the Detective's Office.
    Johnyk668kiki180703
  • Johnyk668Johnyk668 Member Posts: 73
^agreed, but when I put them in the figs hand in step 1 I didn't know that and it took me to right near the end of bags 1 to work it out.
Then I thought that is genius, same as the gold rod, with the set name being Detectives office I thought the fig holding that was some kind of bad boy, little did I know he was going to play pub sports.
Looking forward to finding out why there is pastry in a barrel under a walkway when I finish the build.

The gold rod is a pool cue!
  • Johnyk668Johnyk668 Member Posts: 73
^agreed, maybe I'm not explaining myself properly, I did end up working out that both the feather was a dart and the gold rod is the pool cue, but not until I had built the whole of that side of the ground floor.
When I opened the box I didn't know what the interior was like until I built it, that is why I'm saying it is a great build as all the small parts make up a good set.
The fact I didn't explain it so clearly in my first post was hoping to keep some suprise for others who hadn't built it yet and are as not so clever as me.
