Just building Big Ben now, and loving all the little details. Why are all the number 2 bags in a box though?

Finished Krennic's Shuttle - it needs a stand, looks far better in flight mode than landing mode. A few parts in there i've not seen before - including 1x2 wing plates.

Now all my Christmas decorations are up (Don't judge, I do Lego - my better half is nuts about Christmas - small price to pay), I get to build my Winter Holiday Train and start building a Christmas display.
Had a lot of other stuff going on so its been nice to break open a new set and just build again.

^Starting my winter village train this weekend!  Plan to purchase another one during early VIP Brick Friday access this weekend so I can get the globe as well.

This set was purchased purely for parts sort out but couldn't resist and started building it. I guess it will stay built as long as I don't need the parts for my MOCs.

What with building Deep Freeze Defender, couldnt help but BL Ice Station Odyssey, the main base for the Ice Planet 2002 series.

Fun trivia tidbit- the name of the "ice planet" is Krysto.

While others were taking advantage of Target, I was building this...I really liked it. One of the small complaints I have is that the 'trash bin' is small and when you are going to dump it into the truck, things fall out before it gets to the truck...which means I should do a 'taller' version of it. Either way, I love it. I should buy more while I can.

The corner drugstore from the Lego Neighbourhood book is nearing completion.  Waiting on a Bricklink order from Australia which contains the garage doors and a piece for the till, missing 2 pieces for the facade and somehow managed to order white rather than clear wall elements (for the windows).  Otherwise, I'm done.

Did the publisher of the Lego Neighborhoods book release a part list in Excel or .bsx format? I have the book but haven't gotten around to put together the parts list yet.
  • BrikingBriking Member Posts: 768
@Bosstone100 they put parts lists on their web site.  Generates a Bricklink list, once you 've knocked off the pieces you already have.

    Ok. Thanks.

Currently searching my parts bins to enable me to build this! Yes, its the London Bus (40220), but in yellow! Why? Well, at the UK London Leicester Square launch yesterday they gave out alternative sticker sheets for the London Bus set, and given Lego used yellow routemaster buses in London to advertise the store opening, I felt the stickers should go on a yellow bus!

I did think about trying to adapt it to the modern routemaster bus, but decided to stick with the old model!

Just started building the Parisian Restaurant that I picked up at the Leicester Square store opening on Thursday.

Looking forward to adding it alongside my other modulars when I get the spare bedroom back - had to move my Lego out for now as the floor is up to deal with leaking water :(

    Wow! Just Wow!
Your building and design skills are phenomenal. I am not very knowledgable on technic Lego, but this is the most intricate build/MOC of a race-car or hyper/super sports car if you like, I have ever seen. Not only does it actually drive like a proper remote controlled car (you can steer it, as opposed to just making it go forward or backwards, as I have seen with some other Technic builds), it has so many other details, and even a motorized rear wing.

You even managed to follow as close as possible, in Lego anyway, the actual lines of the bodywork of the car. I don't know who originally designed the body of that car, but I know Lotus, as well as some electric car from about a decade ago (not a Lotus though), use that body design, or an earlier design on which this is based. I am not sure but doesn't it date back to the beginning of this century?

I did not see it on your Youtube description, what is the name of that soundtrack you used for your video? Really love the jazzy funky gitar, makes me think of this gitarplayer, whose name I cannot remember at the moment. Really like the music!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I feel this car has passion, one of the things I feel are sometimes missing from Technic Lego models. This car was almost impossible to re-create but I wouldn't give up until I was satisfied! The song is absolutely one of my favorites right now.

Funny @Vortex should mention #75826 - I just started #41180, another castle model from a nonmedieval theme. As a kid, I wanted a castle, and as an adult, I'm willing and able to buy big sets. I'm bricklinking the elf specific parts and will use the rest as a base. I might have done something similar with 75826, but this is the way budget and sales worked out.

My mosaics use the largest bricks allowed by the design with the exception of piece availability.

I still haven't resumed work on Brick Bank.

@Loxlego Pretty sweet car!  I wish Lego built Technic cars with steering like that.  Also would be cool if their cars were RC like many of the builders on the internet can build.  Not all of us are as talented! lol

I'm trying to figure out how to build a version of the Orient Express...why do windows have to be so difficult to figure out? :( As for actual sets, I haven't built one in several months...maybe it's time for a trip to the store?

Got through 2 bags of 41180 yesterday.
    Loving the door mechanism.
Wanted the dark tan 1x2 for my common brick color collection, replaced it with brown. That also worked for the lavender 2x2s and trans 1x2s. So it's a versatile color scheme and this helps it look more like a normal castle.

yep. look's ok. with the motor, but as i dont have a full time track i going to removed it soon and have it as a nice display item.
the train could have done with more grip, as unlike #60051 that if you try to push it to full speed "It will Crash." if you full speed #10254 it dont get the speed to crash.

The Hennessy Venom GT is based on the Lotus Exige / Elise chassis, but heavily modified, of course. They kept a lot of the original bodywork, so it looks very similar to an Exige as well.

The other one that you are thinking of, possibly, is the Vauxhall VX220, which also shared the Lotus Elise chassis and was actually built by Lotus in Norfolk and badged as either Opel Speedster, Vauxhall VX220 or Daewoo Speedster, depending on the market.
