Working on the Firefly set. Bought the instructions, pulled the pieces from inventory. Very difficult build, but fun.

I'm new to Lego, so recently I bought couple sets. Right now I'm working on #10220. It is a fun set.

#10219 Maersk and #3677 Red Cargo Trains. Trying to burn through the stack of new sets purchased last year while I was deployed.

Trying to wrap up my Mike Tyson's Punchout mosaic. Have the one of three 'panels' completed, just waiting on the rest of my parts to get in from BL.

Finally found time to start building the Royal Knight's Castle. Although 17 years old a really great Castle !! It was already waiting for me since june 2011......

Finished TIE Interceptor #7181 while wrapping up with Ep. VI. Build was okay and straight forward, but finished model looks nice, sleek and sizeable.

Continued with Y-Wing #10134 and it was a very satisfying build. My hunger for greeble was adequately fed. Only issue was symetry since instructions for the engines were 2x for everything instead of being mirrored. Otherwise, it exceeded expectations.

Started Rebel Blockade #10019 and sorting parts alone took over an hour. Another 1.5 hours into the build and just getting to one of the front head cones. *phew* I think I might have underestimated this one.

Finished the #10174 UCS Imperial AT-ST last night, it was a fantastic build (especially the legs), highly detailed and a lot larger than I expected :) (I also got this set off Craigslist for $70 and it was 100% complete with instructions). Then today I finished building #8129 AT-AT Walker and I absolutely love it, it reminds me of when I was younger and I had the motorized AT-AT, I spent days playing with that thing :)

I did this one the other day as well! It is MASSIVE and alot bigger than i thought! The leg build went forever and is incredibly detailed.. It now sits proudly with the other 4 versions i have :-)

Bricklink orders arrived yesterday, $40 to build #7048 Troll Warship. Impressive build!

LOVING IT! Can't understand why this set catches so much flack. Perhaps I just haven't built enough UCS sets to compare it to. If that's the case then I'm grateful because I am absolutely loving this build so far!

Finished this shortly after Christmas and I completely agree. It's big and beautiful! Love it.

That's exactly what I thought of when I saw it. I'm assuming you are referring to the Robert munsch book?

^^ P.D. Eastman. One of the Dr. Seuss line of books. I never would have remembered all of that just 6 months ago. Now I have a child. Ha!

I think it's just because not everyone is building it in place of making budget cut decisions in the boardroom.

^ I think you'd need that much space - and its better than using all of your living room floor.

    As for me, #10193 MMV

I started Cafe Corner a few nights ago but the 2 separate base plates really bothered me so I transferred what I had built onto a single base plate. My 2 year old decided to use it as a garage/play area during the process.

Finished TIE Advanced #10175 and wasn't very impressed =T. Lackluster build experience without any nice techniques. One of the Bottom 3 of UCS-line for me personally.

I am just beginning the very first steps in my Arkham Asylum MOC, practising making small sections of good looking rock walls, which is harder than it looks I am finding! It often seems a bit too regular which is difficult to rectify.

Recently built the Millennium Falcon, X-wing and Horizon Express. Onto the B-wing now for my birthday! :)
  • dimefielddimefield Member Posts: 314
Just finished #8070 Supercar. First power functions set. Really fun build but no way am i taking it apart to figure out whats wrong with the passenger door!
  • binaryeyebinaryeye Member Posts: 1,831
Having recently built the Dump Truck and Cement Mixer for my son, I'm attempting a backhoe MOC to go along with them. For whatever reason, LEGO hasn't produced a minifigure-scale backhoe in 20 years.

@Galidorneveragain @Vader_94 , I put Jabba's Palace together AFTER putting the Rancor's Pit together. I got put off by the play functions not working, so I took some spare PAB plates/bricks, and extended the rancor gate out, so it still works with the palace attached.

Then I got miffed that the Palace fireplace wouldnt swing out...soooo, I extended the Palace out, and rebuilt the square holes to fit over the Rancor pit.

THEN I was heartbroken that my Palace didnt have a tower on the same level, so alas, I've MOC'd a Rancor stall that joins to the pit, and working on a top play level to put the tower on, decorate with Tatooine rocks/scenery, and round out the whole darn thing. ;P

I got all I really needed for the MOC set off BL by buying a Rancor pit sans minifigs for like $20.00

I'll post pics when I'm done.

I want to start building #9471 Uruk-Hai Army, but just haven't gotten around to it do to a MOC I'm making based off of this one by Zane Houston.
I'm also trying to build Steampunk. Not sure if I like it. The jury's still out.

Truck mania here. Just built #4432 Garbage Truck, #60017 Flatbed Truck, and #3180 Tank Truck. Next is either #3221 Lego Truck or #4434 Dump Truck.

In the middle of building the Arkham Asylum, B-wing, Mindstorms Robot and Death Star. Should be occupied for a while.
  • gelkstergelkster Member Posts: 927
To accompany my Troll Warship build, used a day off to make #7036 Dwarves' Mine. I may get a little deeper into this theme. Didnt see any sets on a Target diaper run but the LOTR/Hobbit sets looked interesting.

Just finished a MOC of Bruce Wayne's study with hidden Batcave entrance and a Phone Booth for the upcoming Clark Kent/Superman minifig coming with the Lego Batman movie.

Trying to make a small MOC (in fact my first) of parts from Harry Potter sets.
  • LostInTranslationLostInTranslation Member Posts: 5,572
This evening I've built #6414 Dolphin Point, a beautifully preserved Paradisa specimen that brings back memories of my childhood, and the ace #9448 Samurai Mech, which I picked up bargainously today. If I had a better Internet connection I would upload a picture of the two side by side ;-)

Chima Chima Chima. Bought and built #70006 #70115 #70000 this weekend. Speedorz are great fun! The lion's head arch is a beautiful bit of SNOTty modelling. The crocodile ship is... erm... well, I only bought it for the olive pieces.

My 2.5 year old is obsessed with outer space so we spent the day making all the planets + whatever Pluto is classified as these days out of Duplo. First attempt was 3D models which were way too clunky to be spheres but the 2D versions worked pretty well.

I am building my second copy of the Horizon Express set at the moment, it is a testament to how fantastic the build is that I have not found it monotonous in the slightest so far!

My daughter and I just made a video showing our lego city layout. Still a work in progress, however we just finished the benches so finally we are able to merge our 9v trains with our modulars. next we plan to build MOC roads brick by brick. Check it out on youtube.

Looking good as a 4-walled building. The floor space must be cramped with the slender profile, is it furnished inside?
  • lilmonster777lilmonster777 Member Posts: 53
yep cramped, 16x16 fully furnished ..1st floor is reception,2nd floor is waiting room,3rd floor is bathrooms,4th floor is conference room,5th floor is offices and 6th floor is JJ office.
I used stairs to get to each floor.
  • StyerStyer Member Posts: 73

I used stairs to get to each floor.

Internal stairs or are you talking about the fire escape?

I modularlized my Daily Bugle building, but stuck with the single set plus bricks from my collection for the "extra" walls. I put in a rudimentary elevator.

  • lilmonster777lilmonster777 Member Posts: 53

Fire Station! Well, I am overseeing the kid and my partner make it. I'm not good with instructions, but those two are doing a great job.

    Nothing.

I am very sad about that.

Building the MMV with a 6, 4 and 2-year old. No, I don't know what I was thinking, either. They've already gone off the page and started building their own tree, much taller and equipped with a bucket lookout for invaders.
