    Hi All,
After a week away from my LEGO (and XB-ONE) I am desparate to rebuild my 1979 Technic Bike with Sidecar  . I haven't buiilt her for about 15 years since my kids were little, so am looking forward to it. Those who know the model will see me build it with a left sided car (The way we ride them here is Oz) and use the instructions for the less bulky seat and tank combo (Bottom right in photo).

As an aside, does anyone have a set of instructions or even a photo of a LEGO German Shepherd that I could scale up to suit this build as passenger, not rider LOL?

So, I have finally got our basement activity room set up for LEGO building, and pulled the storage box with my Parisian Restaurant set. After sorting all the pieces by color, and started the build, I am apparently missing pieces already.  :s

Another 3 hours of building on the Merc Arocs truck last night.  I have a rolling chassis now.
Crane tonight, cab and bodywork tomorrow, I think.

After parting out some classic Space sets from some lots of old parts, I built #6884 Aero Module today. There's a simple pleasure in building the old Futuron sets, especially if you have nice clean white parts! I find the simple black and white color schemes accented with transparent red and blue to be quite pleasing. I don't have the blue Futuron minifigure yet, so a red-suited astronaut took his place for this photo.

I'm riding a nautical "wave" this week (ha!) so I've built:

    #4022 C26 Sea Cutter
    #4644 Marina
    #4645 Harbor
    #3178 Seaplane
    #4641 Speed Boat
    #4642 Fishing Boat
    #7207 Fire Boat
    #7287 Police Boat
    #60014 Coast Guard Patrol

I suppose it'll naturally lead to building my Aqua Zone sets, or maybe into Pirates, & I'll grab the new Brick Bounty for my birthday next month.

Working on the Mobile Lab from The Lost World in LDD. Frustratingly have to slog *back* through the JP levels of LJW to get back to the lab so I can study the left side of the trailer... there's that annoying thing that as soon as you do the level where the lab is destroyed it's no longer available. Even the King Air in JP3 they at least let you have wreckage to study...

@vindic8ed Love the base for th Statue Of Liberty!  Do you happen to have instructions and a parts list for it??  I would love to add that to my SoL.
  • Vindic8edVindic8ed Member Posts: 206
I do, but I don't want to get in trouble:  I bought them from this guy:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-Statue-of-Liberty-3450-Custom-Base-Pedestal-INSTRUCTIONS-ONLY-Amazing-/111179435906?hash=item19e2cf8f82

Kind of expensive for instructions but I think it's worth it.  Statue is about 5ft tall with the base.

Words cannot describe building this, so much fun!

Started building the Town Hall modular today.  Since I bought it used I've been having to dig through all the tiny parts today and making slow progress.  Reminds me of building sets before they started numbering the bags.  Still, it's been a fun build.

    I have it in tan.

Very nice, but very expensive. Before buying the instructions expect a cost of approximately $1,000+. It might be cheaper in grey.

Building my 2nd train set ever (EN was first) and the Horizon Express is a bigger build than I expected. Great technique learned in the black & white arrow part.

Just put together #21104 Curiosity Rover via 5 separate bricklink orders (and for less than the RRP for the set which was a nice bonus).  Lovely model, the suspension's great :)

I bought the "#42043 Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245" over the weekend.
Genuinely too excited to get started, but due to me being away on a training course for work this week, I won't be able to start it until Friday.

Just built today the Lone Ranger stagecoach 'get-a-way'. Quite a nice little build, and a nice display piece also! I think a slightly under rated set. Was a bargain on eBay, less than RRP.

Just received and built the Simpsons Series 2.  Great looking minifigs.  I did notice some paint issues on the crease of Professor Frink's legs.  Otherwise good looking minifigs.  I will be finishing up on painting 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of LEGO red paint on an old dining table i am repurposing as a Lego building table.  I'll post some pics later.

@samiam391 that looks incredible! PM sent.

I would love to know the cost difference between tan and grey.
  • Sethro3Sethro3 Member Posts: 1,015
That does look incredible and definitely something to have in one's collection..however, I can't see how you could spend $1000+ on anything LEGO (I know, others have spent way more in their lives and to each their own)...Just mind blowing amount :)
  • JELJ1SJELJ1S Member Posts: 94
This base is definitely on my list of must builds. Once I get my Lego room set up,I will be attempting this. The statue of liberty alone is an awesome set. This just ups the level

Technically rebuilding, but making some last minute repairs on a MOC that broke up a little in storage, ahead of a LUG display tomorrow. Thankfully, not too horrible. A good reminder that I should rebuild that section though.

I went to the Lego store yesterday at a mall 45 minutes away. I had to take the city bus.  I was so excited to finally be going to a Lego store.  Never been , so when I got there I turned the corner into the store and I must have lit up like a Christmas tree   I was so excited!! I ended up buying the Palace Cinema.  I was waiting for the bus and opened the box, I could not believe how many bags of Lego !!!  I have the first floor finished ( really fun putting down the tiles on that huge baseplate )  Will be finishing the rest later today.  OMG I love Lego so much !!!!!  `I think I paid $154 for it or something like that.    I want to get the detective office next.

Spent over a week last month helping a visually-impaired friend build the Haunted House. I'd describe what parts were needed for each step of the instructions and he'd pan his phone camera over the array of parts so I could help him find the right ones, then ensure he put them on the right spot on the model. It was slow-going but much faster than he could do on his own using a magnifying lens to make out details (still couldn't always) on the instructions. He finished it right before Halloween (in fact, he had a friend come over for Halloween and she put the decals on for him to ensure they were in the right spots and lined up, etc. Magnificent build and he really enjoyed it!

That is awesome!  You are wonderful

I am working on building a city. I have built the Lego creator bike shop and cafe and plan to build more from that set and other lego creator sets.

I am also working on a zoo with my bricks. That is what the lion and lioness I built are for. I have also built an alligator and a crocodile.

I am not sure how to group my zoo animals. On one hand there are some benefits to grouping by region or habitat like lions, cheetahs, leopards, etc. all being in their natural environment and thus not so stressed out.

On the other hand there are some benefits of grouping by animal type like only needing 1 crocodile instead of several crocodiles.

And with the habitat grouping there is another problem. Lots of animals live in more than 1 habitat like lions which live in forests, grasslands, swamps, and deserts and leopards which live in forests, grasslands, deserts, swamps, mountains, farms, suburbs, and major cities.

Might be helpful to look at a zoo map and see where a favorite zoo categorizes animals if it's that much of a mind-bender. Here's one of my favorites, by biome/continent http://www.torontozoo.com/pdfs/MAP.pdf

Waiting for the final shipments from Lego for the 10179 Millennium Falcon after Bricklinking most of it.  The S@H from Lego was shipped a week ago and no pieces yet.  I had to get some from the Sandcrawler, Haunted House and TIE Fighter to get going.  Already on step 40 and a long way to go.  This thing's a monster.

Does any of you guys still have a spare lego movie poster sticker #5002891 ?
  • MAGNINOMINISUMBRAMAGNINOMINISUMBRA Member Posts: 993
^ You're unlikely to find a 'spare' Lego Movie sticker anywhere as they are definitely OOP and definitely valuable - If you look in the Trades you can get an idea of what your 'get in' will be - that said - I've only seen them applied before once or twice - are they all so poorly cut (and slightly undersized)?

Yes the Lego Movie sticker is a bit undersized compared to the others when applied but I didn't hunt one down to leave it in a drawer somewhere. It's been a busy day - #7888 The Tumbler:Jokers Icecream Surprise

I'm building Ninjago set #70734. Have you ever spent 40 dollars on a set just to get one figure? I picked this mainly because I wanted Master Wu.

Actually, I like the new "phantom" dudes too and plan to use them in future MOCs.

Here is the dining table i refinished to be a Lego building table.  It is going up in our loft this evening to start my makeshift Lego area.  Will be building the Town Hall to break it in.
