^Exactly same for me. Almost word for word =). FB is definitely my fave of the Mods.

My wife spotted the Friends pet sets at TRU and decided I should buy them because they were so cute. To my surprise she told me when we got home that they were her's and I wasn't aloud to build them. These will be her first ever lego sets :D

Meanwhile. I have tower bridge spread out across the dinning room table. 4000+ pieces and no numbered bags :|

Just finished Attack of the Wargs. About to embark on either Bag End or Winter Village Cottage. I'd also like to rebuild all my modulars starting with GG.

I just completed the fist half of #10218. I already built the FB, GE, and TH. This has been the most fun and is the best looking of the four. I have enjoyed all of them in their own right but this is definitely my favorite so far.

Fiancee is finishing up Arkham Asylum, what an amazing set! She also built Diagon Alley on Christmas, which was her present from me. I built The Village Post Office last night and took apart some sets today to make room.

Just finished up my Christmas gift 79003 An Unexpected Gathering and actually wasn't very impressed with the set, maybe my expectations were too high but I am quite disappointed in the set. Oh well, next build is Helm's Deep on New Years Day :-)
  • emilewskiemilewski Member Posts: 482
I just built An Unexpected Gathering as well. I liked it, I did. But the build experience was enjoyable but not "awesome". It was OK and I loved the subject matter. I am building SSD right now which is for me much more fun (of course I am only 1/6 into it so have not gotten overwhelmed by all the grey yet). Helm's Deep for me after SSD!

Just finish Space Police Central. It made me very nostalgic, as the format of the build was similar to the Space Port flagship set from 1999. Other than that, it is your ordinary base that you would commonly find for past 5 years. Still looks nice, and I'm definitely happy to have it as part of my collection.

Fiance and I just finished building Diagon Alley. It was a really fun build. She is working on #9462 The Mummy as I am typing. I think Town Hall is next and then its off to Home Depot since I am in need of more shelves. I am running out of room to display all the Legos in the toy room....

Just have the roof to go on the Winter Cottage after building the Horizon Express yesterday. I am impressed with the Winter Cottage and can't wait to see it completed.

I am building The Pet Shop now. Tomorrow and Tuesday will be spent building the Death Star while watching all of the Star Wars movies on Blu-ray.

2 bags down, 2 to go on #79003 An Unexpected Gathering. Fun little build so far, liked the way the window on the left front was done, although thought I had done it wrong at first with how lose it is.

I just finished the Forest Police Station #4440....Fun build but I can see why lego City needs all of the police sets. The city could save a lot on its annual police budget if they would just design the prison cells to actually be able to keep prisoners locked in.

Just starting the custom modular Chili's Restaurant from Brick City Depot. Need to do some color switching but I have to start it before I can figure out what will work.

Whipped up a couple Droidekas from #75000. My boys have forsaken their new Xmas Monster Fighters sets for Star Wars- of which we dont have many.

Just finished my UCS Darth Maul bust and combined with bday gift from my sis, a Republic robe. Ended up more impressive than I expected. And it looks adequately spooky staring from the corner.

Took apart my Winter Village Bakery and Toy shop today. Just waiting on Tower Bridge, MMV and Helms Deep, which should all arrive next week. :)

Question is, if they all arrive at once, which do I build first?

    MMV, Helms Deep, Tower Bridge.

I believe Helms Deep is the only one with numbered bags. You'll probably want a little easier build after MMV and before Tower Bridge.

Here, here.. MMV is a great set, but the build was very frustrating at times, given the lack of numbered bags.

Call me weird, but the lack of numbered bags takes me back to my childhood. It can be painful, but that was part of he process back then, so i enjoy it from time to time. Of course there weren't many 1,000+ piece sets.

I don't mind the lack of numbered bags so much the amount of room needed to sort the bricks prior to building. With numbered bags I can build in a much smaller area utilizing just two tupperware containers (one big and one small). I've actually put off building my Imperial Shuttle due to a lack of room (and tupperware).

    Working on a UCS snowspeeder

Finally completed this on 1st Jan 2013. This was a sweet build but I didn't expect it to be that big. My favorite part of the build was the greeblings.

^^Very good point. To me it's the difference between being able to build on a TV tray table or the dining room table. Sometimes being able to do so in the smaller space is definitely a plus.

Just pulled all of my old sets from my childhood out of the attic. Tonight it'll be 6080 King's Castle. This set brings back a lot of memories for me. I remember the Christmas morning I got it. Won't be taking it apart any time soon.

Well, I finally bought and completed (took me 7 nights!) Death star. This was the set that made me return to Lego. :D

Just finished the UCS B-Wing... Not sure how I feel about it. Its incredibly flimsy and delicate, especially the entire cockpit area. I can't hold it without some piece popping off. The lack of minifigs is also disappointing and somewhat puzzling. The stand is great though, it's amazing how it can support the weight of the ship.

A few of the UCS sets don't come with minifigs now.. First that comes to mind is #10215 then #10143, #10030, #10018, #10019, #10129, #10175, #10186, #10174 and more...

Just started #2507 Fire Temple and LOVED the dragon!!!!

Went to eBay immediately and started searching for the other dragons. Snagged #2260 Ice Dragon for $60 used/complete/shipped w/ the box and instructions. Not too bad IMO.

I'd love to find a lightning dragon now for a fair (i know i know... whats fair?) price.

    Anyhow, loved today's build!

    Currently rebuilding #8420.

It stood for 7 years as the superbike, so I've taken it apart and cleaned it, and am just building it as the chopper now.
