Building the entire 2006 to 2008 Exo-Force line (minus European magazine exclusives, which I'm still trying to acquire). Most of these I've never even built. They're HUGE!

Mobile Devastator is as big as my dog (and scares my dog quite a bit). And Combat Crawler X2 is about as big as a facehugger without its tail. I'm almost afraid to see how large Striking Venom is.

Just finished the Sopwith. I am completely blown away. Might be my favorite set I've built to date.

Just finished the new flatbed truck. I love this build it is to date my favorite of the great vehicle sets. I wrote a review of it so when it gets approved it will be there to read.

I need to finish the roof of the Winter Cottage so I can set up my Christmas scene in the living room with the others in the series. My wife is impatient for me to finish it as she wants to send pictures to everyone. Who am I to argue? :)

I've just finished building #6544. It's gone straight to the top of my favourites list. Now, to collect the rest of the 'Launch Command' theme.

Helms Deep and I'm in love...with brick built doors and curved walls, mossy rocks and soaring buttresses. I think I've been listening to people complain about the size for so long that its actual size is a lovely surprise and the extra set in the closet is just a bonus.

Once again, commanded by kids to build 7110 Landspeeder & 7126 Battle Droid Carrier. Also told to build 3661 & 7498 but held off, since this place will be knee deep in Monster Fighters in a week. I still have to dismantle 4207 City Garage & our meager City roadplate system to make room.

I just took apart my log cabin and lighthouse to make room for the Maersk train. I am going to build attack of the wargs next!
  • YodaliciousYodalicious Member Posts: 1,366
MMV just arrived. So it will be that, quickly followed by taking it apart and making it into a modular theme park of sorts for my town layout.

Just finished EN with the PF and its great. Super fun build. But alas, is has to reside on a small loop track on my bar height table because I have 15 month old twins. Don't get me wrong, they love to watch it go around and around. Added a couple of Santa Fe cars and a caboose to give it a bit more length.
Tomorrow I will start on the duplo train I got during Target BF to put around the tree. Never been so excited to build a duplo before. Actually, never build a proper duplo set before. The babies are gonna love it.

I just built #5886 - T-Rex Hunter with my fiancée and really rather like the final build. Okay, so I didn't actually get to build any of it - it was one of the times I get to use sets as a gateway drug for her.

I like the chopper a lot more than I expected to, and although having the the claw connect to the T-Rex using system connections seemed like a bit of a swizz, it would have been a fair bit more difficult to build something that could actually grip the dino to the same pricepoint. Overall, I'm a pretty happy chappy. Now to build the rest of the sets in the range over the next few days! :D

I've just finished building all of this year's Dino sets, back to back. And, I love them a lot more than I ever thought I would. It's a pity the two big vehicles won't fit into the HQ though.

So my #7633 is missing a piece and, naturally, it's one I haven't got in any colour in any other set. ;-) I know this thanks to the new Brickset parts functionality...thanks, it's saved me wading through boxes of LEGO on a pointless search!

It's resulted in a very weird substitution to hold the crane together for now.

My Holiday Train #10173 has finally arrived!! But being late by even 1 day has zapped a lot of magic from the Winter Village.
  • RedbullgivesuwindRedbullgivesuwind Member Posts: 2,115
@GothamConstructionCo fortunatly no. But I dont charge him and use my own bricks so it would be hard for him to ask. If he paid me to do then I would be happy to glue them.....and then sneakilyun glue them.
  • @Redbullgivesyouwind, good arrangement then you get your bricks back in the end.

when building your window display MOCS do you build from your own design and add a inside joke here and there or do you follow the TLG instructions with your own interpretation displaying the sets?
  • RedbullgivesuwindRedbullgivesuwind Member Posts: 2,115
@GothamConstructionCo they, aside from my first model, are all my own design although sometimes its a mix. I tend to find pictures and then try and work out what peices fit where. Ill use brickset, brickish and flikr to get feed back on what I have done. Improve it with peoples suggestions.

They wont have any in jokes but they tend to be relevant to sets that lego have produced at the time. So in july I installed a battle of endor moc with landing pad as the endor planet was released. This winter is LOTR as the sets are out anf the film is in the cinema.

Although as he wants bigger stuff i may have to start charging.
  • @Redbullgivesyouwind sounds like a dream hobby to me.
I would really be interested to see your work.
Is it the same shop you create your MOCs for? If so where is it located?

    Nick.

Yeah I love it. Im learning stuff all the time. Esp from Brickish members. Having people like James Pergrun and Gary Davis to nick ideas off is great. It is indeed its over at Guildford. I have a flikr stream where I upload all my stuff.

Thank you. Your very kind. I think it could do with some work. Mainly not raising the inner bailey on a box. And put it up on bricks instead :-)

What a coincidence! Did it have 421 bricks in the bin?

No. And for the record, thelegoguy421 (until he got banned from this forum) is my cousin and he gave me the idea to build a town with spare Legos.
  • Impressive stuff @Redbullgivesyouwind. Keep learning and continue what your doing, it's good work.

My wife started and finished the Fire Brigade #10197 today. I must say it looks awsome, and its good to finally have two modulars connected (Other being the Grand Emporium).

^FB was the first of the four current modulars I built. I got all four together when I came out of my dark ages. After building them all, it was still my favorite. Good build and just looks phenomenal. Some great parts in there too. Tempted to pick up another one or two to use to build MOC modulars.
