Finished a delightful Duplo #10559 A Fairy Tale with book for 5USD clearanced at TJMaxx. (These may be too nice for my future grandchild….hummmm! May have to buy a second set for grandchild use.)
Awaiting ancient but slightly used Duplo families Caucasian, African and Asian (off eBay) as I am in love with all those little fellows. And they require no building because they don't come apart. My huge collection of P_bil 123 figures also makes me smile a lot. I enjoy placing the animals in the houses and the people in the fenced in fields aka a Gary Larsen version of the animals watching the humans instead of vice versa.
Personally I think they look a lot better. Now all I need are black elastic bands to give the wheels some grip... :)
And I want to build it in real life too. There goes my resolution to Bricklink less LDD MOC's I guess!
Will finish it tomorrow but will spend the rest of the day building the #21019 Eiffel Tower.
Now put it on a castle! :o)
It really is lovely.
Little Miss 11yo wants to build a beach scene (tan beach / dunes, plus blue base sea with waves etc).
So today, once she has cleaned up some other stuff, she'll be under way.
Blocks from my collection, of course.....
See if you can spot mini renditions of Ewok Village and the UCS Falcon in there (there's also an Orthanc in there but I think it's hidden) ;-)
(in case anyone asks, it's based on a typical large UK semi detached house. One could have two of these and join them together)
Should be complete tomorrow with a bit of luck.
I've been wondering how the 'shop' front was done for a while and now I know!
