#75346 Pirate Snub Fighter. I'm at the park with the bison, the temperature is 56°F/13°C and partly sunny. I'm at a picnic table at an outdoor classroom just off the trail.

Snub Fighter with pilot, Vane, and leftover parts. I didn't apply the stickers to the canopy- for now, at least. All six stickers could be omitted without changing the set much.

#76175 Attack on the Spider Lair. Not worth $70, but Walmart had it for $40 last Christmas, before my cousin announced he didn't like Spidey, anymore.

@WesterBricks  - you just (...) posted basically my entire 9-10yo world... (aside from #1974-1 and #6394, didn't have those but boy did I lust after the latter, like you!).

I felt EXACTLY the same with the 5-wide trucks, as well as played the h*ll out of #1896 and #6066 in my day... Thanks!

Actually, #6346 is still (partially) built in the "days of yore"-box here! :)

Now that I have one of my PAB orders, I'm working on duplicating the Hydra Stomper in #76201, but in yellow and oranges.  I'm going to use the shoulder piece in #76128 (that I already have) for the head.  I'm also incorporating some things from #76243.  I'm adding the gatling gun and the claws and will have Rocket pilot the "Hydra Stomper".  (Going to need a new name for this.)  Only bought #76243 'cause it was a mech and orange and for the claw pieces (and to reach the price threshold for #40580).

Wasn't sure what parts would be in what colors so I just bought every green piece in oranges and yellow and any I couldn't find in those colors, in black and grays.  Wheee!

It's a Google Sheet where we shrank all the cells down to little squares. Each little square is 4x4 studs, the big squares are 32x baseplates

Thanks! Yeah fun so far, but will require a lot of transparent tiles. Hopefully less of an issue because we're splitting up the work

Some people have complained that the Fang Fighter has too many studs and not enough color. Is this better?

Since I couldn't build BD-1, I decided to do something else.  Days prior, a tray of parts decided randomly dive to the floor after I (slightly) contacted it, much like a twice ex-United striker.  (Glory! Glory!) Somehow, some minifig legs became broken.  But when life breaks your minifig parts, you make broken minifig part photography...

(Yeah yeah, wrong color legs for a Rebel "red shirt" but I think it still works.)

I made a few special modifications to #75301 to make my version of Hera Syndulla’s xwing from Rebels. Also modded the stand from #76832

This is great!  I know that LEGO intentionally designs a lot of these kinds of matches in, and that they otherwise are generally just a result of basic geometry, but for some reason it still feels like magic to me when things match up like this.

Given that the Summer/Fall 2024 is a long ways out, I am taking a shot at building a preview copy of @Sleepless_Night 's Mountain Fortress.

FYI: The footprint of Mountain Fortress is a tad bit larger than a large baseplate.

After several long years of waiting to build it, and two years of moving, I finally decided to start working on my #10240 Red Five UCS X-Wing! This is a set I rescued from a bulk lot about 5 years ago. It was 80% complete. I had another 15% of the parts in my parts bins, and just needed the last 5% (and a new sticker sheet) to finish it off.

I got about half way through what would have been "bag 1" and realized I was missing two pieces. Figured it was just me not seeing them at first as it was just all 1500+ parts in a giant pile. I decided to move to "bag 2" and come back it to. Finished Bag 2 and still no sign of the parts. So, onto "bag 3." Still nothing. I got to the first step of "bag 4" and saw two more parts that were missing.

SO...I'm a bit stumped. I know I would have checked and double checked my inventory as I was pulling parts. Either I still have a rogue bag in a box with a handful of parts, OR, my set isn't 100% complete. I have a really really hard time thinking I would have not guaranteed I had all of the parts before bagging it up.

At this point, I think my best bet is to re-inventory my parts to make sure I'm not missing a bunch of other things before moving forward. Certainly not the experience I was hoping to have with my first UCS set!

I'll get some pictures posted here soon of the progress I'm able to make.

^^ Added these to the display, both fun builds!
Surprisingly, WalMart has the Executor in plentiful stock as LEGO.com still has them on backorder.  Didn't see that coming...thx WM.

My car is in the shop for repair, so I can't go to Spring Lake to see the bison. Instead, today I walked from home, a few blocks to Thompson County Park, then on the pedestrian bridge over Highway 52, through Kaposia Park and down to the Mississippi River. Then downstream along the river, then to a Burger King for supper, then back. Now I'm back in Thompson Park, almost home! Total distance walked, about 10 miles (16 km). I stopped for a Picnic Table Build: #30547 Dragon Hunter, 2018 Ninjago polybag.

I swapped out the Cool Yellow on my #60217 Fire Plane to Vibrant Yellow, added more Vibrant Yellow, and swapped the horizontal stabilizers from Medium Stone Grey to Bright Red. I'm not going to use a highlighter to change the stickers!

Finished it and... I don't like it.  Though, a few pieces could be swapped for orange that are black (if I had them).  But some that are black don't yet exist in orange.  Maybe that's it? Eh.  Lack of stickery goodness?

Found a use for these radiation symbol printed pieces I picked up from a vendor at BrickCon last year.
