Or you could encourage a friend to open a franchise. ;)
Have a few other techniques to try: drilled out eye holes and making a face out of clay
love Thomas btw, miss those years my little one will be 18 later this month.
So an awesome MOC and an awesome build. But like most MOCs, not up to Lego's standards for stability of the construction.
But once finished it is a display piece... certainly not swooshable!
I've built a few awesome looking mocs that look great on display but fall apart at the slightest touch so I'm not worried about that too much, but I built a moc of Sauron that I got from rebrickable and it was a nightmare to assemble as pieces were constantly falling off as I tried to add others. Was a very frustrating experience and almost, but not quite, put me off building mocs!
If I wanted something swooshable I build smaller scale, easier for the kids to handle too. I assume your doing the 5k piece moc? There's some with around 500 pieces that look perfectly swooshable!
Not so sad to hear the Sauron falls apart easily.. atleast it gives those Hobbits a fighting chance!
Have to agree that I go through phases of not liking MOCs as they can be a pain to build... with one exception being the Arvo Brothers MOCs... rock solid those!
Now is its time to shine, as a trumpet for the modular jazz club.
It's been too long since I built one of the Creator Expert Vehicles!
The face is a placeholder
The clones' blasters are Brickarms, from Brickmania's Minneapolis store. If you buy some Brickarms weapons, you get to pick a randomly colored piece from a jar at the cash register.
The insignia on the middle leg is in Vibrant Yellow because I don't have any Lime/Bright Yellowish Green 2x2 macaroni tiles.
This is Abby, my aunt's dog. Abby died early this year. She was a great dog, just the sweetest little mutt.
This is my Christmas present to my aunt.
Sadly, I got hit with a really nasty case of the brittle browns!! ☹️ (Not at all @jedivalkyrie 's fault, most of the sets were still brand new in bag!) Sounded like the Rice Krispy factory around here during the build. So many snap, crackle, and pops. Hopefully LEGO will be able to send replacement bricks.
Outside of that unfortunate issue though, these are such fun sets! I have the rest of the CMF minifigs along with Western Emmett on the way.
