^I think this is the Waterworld re-release?

That fig driving the wagon on the right is Kevin Costner's character.

Great... now I want some awesome Waterworld MOCs!

His catamaran would make for an awesome set. Along with a couple playsets for the Atoll and the Valdez. Throw in a few of the Smoker's vehicles and you've got yourself a theme!

(Even though many deride it, I've actually always enjoyed that movie.)

@FollowsClosely - I like your expansion of the gatehouse! I I'd love to do something similar when I get my castle (maybe Christmas hopefully). I do wonder if one of the towers would also look good if made a bit taller? Maybe heighten the one with the red and yellow flags on top to be a bit more of a Wizard's Tower perhaps? Not that I'm suggesting you add that on to your castle, but just thinking out loud really... :-)
I've actually made my bell tower (the thinner one over the "house" part) a couple of bricks higher (4 i think), now it looks more fit for purpose IMHO.

Definitely off to a nice start on the Western theme.
I always dreamed of getting my hands on #6765 Gold City Junction...  I asked for it on Christmas so many years in a row, and my parents could never find it.  It would have gone so well with #6764 Sheriff's Lock-Up...  I'm really jealous.

And I know the guns are a little controversial, but they're such nice pieces accessories for the theme.  So many pew-pews were made with those.

@pxchris much better than flooding or island.  Maybe a river somewhere nearby….

Booo! Bring back Fort Waterworld Legoredo!

Honestly, I love LEGO Space and Pirates, but of the sets I recall desperately wanting when I was growing up, Western most sticks in my mind.

I'm really excited to see your collection come together, pxchris!

I was in my later teens by the time Western rolled around, so while I did look at the sets a ton in the catalogs and at the store, and really liked what I saw a lot, I wasn't captured by the theme to the same extent that I was with Pirates (which debuted when I was 10). So I never actually owned any Western sets at all when I was younger. Which means that each set I'm getting now is a new experience for me and I'm loving it! I'm really happy that this was the theme I decided to go after next.
I still have a few big sets to go (both of the large Indian camps as well as the Bandit's hideout) but one advantage here is that there's only 16 sets total for me to have to work on collecting, as opposed to the 54 Pirates sets. Once my next Bricklink orders come in (one is from overseas, so it'll be a bit) I'll be at 10/16.

As much as I love the Christmas wreath, it has to be one of the worst sets to build. Very fragile, one wrong move and the whole thing disintegrates

Thankfully you only have to hang it once per year because I've had to replace at least 2 leafs each time I've touched the fully built set. It is lovely though.

I found it pretty strong once built and hanging from my kitchen door. Hung for a couple of weeks fine, lifted it down and it performed a self distruct!

I've never had issues once its built and hung up. Everytime I take it down to packup for the year, no matter how careful I am, it just explodes like you say. Perhaps It needs to be handled like a expensi ve art work, gloves on and two people carefulling putting it back in it's crate.

Seems like a feature, not a bug: it self-dismantles once you're done displaying it! :)

I just finished #60345 Farmers Market Van. This is a great set, well worth the $31.99 I paid. At RRP of $44.99, over-priced.
The carrot growing mechanism isn't very accurate to reality, but a cute feature.
I suppose it's due to the "5+" age rating, but the part callouts just show multiple pictures of each part, rather than e.g. 3x. I find it a more intuitive method. There's certainly room on the pages!

I’m 2 bags in on the AT-AT. Started watching Andor today. Seemed like a good pairing. Gotta finish it this weekend though. Next weekend I’ll have to start up the Winter Village prep.

@gmonkey76 ^ Noice!  What did you think of the build?  I made building the legs a bit more challenging by doing all four at once assembly line style...

@lowlead I liked it. A little tricky getting all four legs on at once, but overall a fun build.

If you look closely you can see by the notches on the left side of some, especially the darker ones, that there are tiles mixed in with plates.

I'm through #16 bags on the AT-AT, building last Thursday through Sunday off and on. Watched Andor through episode 10 and Band of Brothers through episode 9 (Veterans Day weekend, ya know?).

I agree about the build process. It's been really good except for putting on the legs. I also had a little trouble putting on the head. A couple of the technic pins were being stubborn. I could have used several extra hands to hold everything in place while I shoved and tilted and shoved until all of the pins realized what they were supposed to do.

I also need an engine lift or something to move the thing, it weighs so much!

Glad you enjoy it so much, WesterBricks! I know there was some initial dislike toward it last year. But, in general, I found it to be an immensely enjoyable build and fantastic addition to the WV line up.

The whole box, packaging, instructions, pieces, and all, is 12.4kg (27 lbs). So it's not really THAT heavy, but it's pretty darn heavy for a Lego set.

The oldest WV set I own (and I think have seen in person) is the train, so I don't have any way to really compare new sets to the "classics" like either toy shop, the post office, bakery, cottage, or Santa's workshop, but... I agree that Santa's Visit was a great set. Pleasant build, nice looking end product. I really like it.

But I'm also one of those weirdos who really enjoys the Gingerbread House and Elf Clubhouse also -- although I'll admit that building Gingerbread House in back-to-back years was enough. I love the way it looks, but I'll be storing it assembled for a few years.

I'm looking forward to getting and building Holiday Main Street -- probably the weekend after Thanksgiving, but it may wait until I've got the bulk of my other WV set up.

It's more of how you have to hold it to lift it. It's so easy to knock something off the bottom/side.

So I've been quiet as of late as I have very few things on my to do list to buy, and for the stuff that is out there, I'm waiting for it to come at the right price.

Anyhow, I'm not building per se, but rebuilding. My #75288 AT-At decided to take a dive after months of standing up just fine, and it took the AT-ST with it. Not the best situation to wake up to but it could be worse. Here's hoping I can repair it without having to strip and rebuild it from scratch.

I think moving forwards that the downed AT-At position may be the best bet lol

It is extremely rare that I order pieces from bricklink for mocking. I buy tubs off marketplaces, sort and use what I have. I am running low on 1x1, 1x2 and 1x3 bley plates and tiles. All the walls are two studs deep and are 1/2 tiles.
