@beegeedee 5 years old is the right age (At least with my son).

He turned 5 earlier in the year and has now seen all the movies except episode III (Not sure when I will let him loose on that one). I was a little worried how he would go but after watching Episode IV with him it was clear he was ready, so the next 4 movies swiftly followed.

He loves the SW movies and thankfully he seems to be more of a OT fan, we have watched Ep IV 3 times already.

@Basta see, that worries me a little. I was totally obsessed with them as a kid and now I can barely watch them. I may just leave him watching the odd Iron man cartoon or the hulk as he likes them just now.

After sorting out all my bricks in new boxes, I build 10229 Winter Village Cottage yesterday. Noticed I had bought not enough boxes, so tonight rearrange everything and build another winter village set. On 5 December (Sinterklaas, a Dutch holiday like Christmas) I will get the market and the 2 promo sets to build! ;)

I'm currently building my first train moc, a 4-6-2 steam locomotive.

I'm loosely basing it on the Constitution, however it's a bit of a hotch-potch of colours at the moment as I don't have nearly enough black.

The attached image shows progress so far. Once I've completed it, a bricklink order will be required for all the black bricks needed.

Designed another new modular MOC to go with my gas station. This one is 24x32 studs to go next to the 8x32 section I added additional to the gas station's 32x32 baseplate.

Looks great @klatu003! I actually still haven't built mine yet (parts still sitting in a box) so I can't speak towards the difficulty of the roof.

I'm building a brick built Boga beast to go with #75040 when I get it next year. The old one was just too outdated to go with the 2014 set. The eye decals are self-designed. It's not completely finished yet, I still need to swap out some parts and minifigs:

At least Obi-Wan won't have to run and jump after the wheel bike anymore!

Pretty damn cool. Is that the original cape?

^ It's a custom. It's made especially to fit the new style Grievous (it's a bit longer than standard capes), so it's not an exact copy of the original. I wish I had the original cape though, but there are things much higher up than it on my wanted list! :-)

For anyone wondering why Luke is on the Boga (looking confused)... I don't have an Obi-Wan Kenobi minifig yet :-)

Further to my post the other day (above), I've been working on my 4-6-2 steam engine again. I need to order a load of black parts, but hopefully you can get an idea of how it'll look once I've replaced the greys, green and white with black.

@TheOneVeyronian...like I say every time someone makes a "This is how Lego should have done it" Star Wars set: "But does it have flick-fire missiles?" :-)

@plasmodium - when I said I needed to swap some parts out of it... it's to modify it ready for the flick fire missiles because I forgot those :-P (the model's really like a prelim, I can't finish it until I get some Legend Beasts actually :-) ). Because let's face it, what let the old Boga in #7255 down was the fact that it didn't have flick fire missiles :-)

My sister and I put the Winter Village together in 2 sessions. The market will have to wait until next year. (I think this brought her out of her dark ages :-))

Why will the market have to wait until next year?

Nothing! I'm not allowed. Part Monkey's me name.

Edit:- Oh, and apparently I've got to pay them for building my sets. I'm sure I've explained to them how it works before. :-\

Unfortunately, work is really busy before I go on holiday in a week and a half so no more building until I come back in 2014... and then there is no point.

Something to look forward to next year!

In response to the incredibly poor Tri-Droid in the upcoming #75036 Utapau Troopers, I constructed a Crab Droid model which I can display beside the Minifigures from that set :o)

If anybody is interested in the LDD file I will happily send it to them.

I like the dark red, most of the Lego Crab droids I've seen are reddish-brown, nice to see it in a different color :-)

    Another mini-model!

    Yeah, i'm a little bored :-)

    And now a Droid gunship.

These are kind of my mini-models for my own star wars advent calender, since I don't have the real one :-)

Building Mines of Moria. Just finished book 1, looking nice so far. Got it on clearance at Wal-Mart today for $54, not a total steal, but I like it so far.

Built the #41088 Heartlake City Pool last night that my daughter got for an early Christmas present. She's still a little too young to build on her own, but dad doesn't mind. Not a huge Friends fan, but I have to admit they certainly pack the sets with a lot of nice floral pieces. I actually find myself liking the flower molds in this set a little more than the traditional version.

@Peter1975 Love your winter village. It has lots of details and little hidden gems. You did a fine job of putting the sets together. They all compliment one another. I also like the music. I have not heard either song prior to this but I really like them, especially the first one. Great job.

^ @Canuck26 - the first song is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" from the film "Meet Me in St Louis", sung by the incomparable Judy Garland. One of my all-time favourites. It fits the video perfectly. Beautiful work, @Peter1975!
